vaughn had been doing perfectly fine on his board like usual, coasting down the sidewalk of town when something had seemed to get caught on the wheel. he had a split second to look down and check it out but the wheels had kept moving, sending him tumbling forward off the board. a curse left his lips immediately as his knees and elbows hit the pavement, skidding across. and, conveniently, he’d landed at someone’s feet. vaughn looked up with a painful sigh and quickly attempted to play it off cool with his hand under his chin and hurt elbow propping him up. “hey,” he said through a hurt smile, “you doing alright, love?”
