The meeting about the Accords had just commenced. Rori’s head was buzzing. It was giving her a headache actually. Her dad had been giving her that look the whole time General Ross was speaking. Now, her husband, wasn’t going to sign the damned thing. She was literally being torn apart. She dropped her head to the desk, holding the back of her head. She could feel the tears coming on. She had to fight them back. This was not the time, nor the place.  

“You know it’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding, rehearsal or not.”
