while the idea doesn't exactly match his image, he always liked the idea of parades. they were happy things, celebratory & fun, so what's not to like? that being said, this was the first parade he's been to in a hell of a long time. & was his first pride parade which was understandably VERY different from the few he'd attended in his youth.
β hm? oh yeah, it's never really come up i guess. but i don't mind, its not like it's a secret or anything. β whatever sort of relationship he & k had, warren had never actually lied to him, & he didn't see the point of starting now over something as plain as that. he doesn't really look at k, missing the smile entirely, but in his defence he'd spotted a group who were clearly tyring to find the optimal photo possible with one person constantly moving the others around.Β β well, women for sure, β he starts. β & its not like i've never thought about it, liking guys i mean. it's not like it grosses me out if i'm involved or anything, but i also just haven't really met any guys i like in that way. β finally, a glance to the side to see k's reaction.Β β so probably straight?Β ...ohΒ ! i did make out with a guy once though. an old buddy of mine who's gay took me to a gay bar once. β eyes down to the parade again, this time spotting someone selling individual roses.Β β there was this other guy who clearly liked me so i decided to let him buy me a few drinks. we talked for a bit, danced for a bit, made out for a bit & then went our separate ways. all in all a pretty decent experience, β he ends with a shrug.Β β you know... i dont think i've ever actually told that story before. pretty sure the friend that i went out with that night is the only other person who knows. β not that it was a secret, he just sort of forgot about it is all.Β
there WAS a point to be made, about if it's just men he doesn't like over anyone else, or if its just that general masculinity doesn't attract him. but it's not exactly unattractive, rather that it feels neutral. but his experience in the realm of identities is rather slim given his company until late, so when he thinks about his own sexuality he tends to miss the nuances.
β alright, your turn then,Β β he sets eyes on k again as he echoes the question back.Β β who do you love? β
