Happy birthday! Happy 27 according to Korean calendar and 26 according to International calendar!

These balloons and little decorations are to start off your birthday right, love!

A year has passed. It seems like yesterday that I was just celebrating your 26 birthdays last year. Who were we again last year? We just got to talk for a few days before your birthday. I was just being me, the fresh and lovely little dongsa--- wait no, fresh and lovely abusive little meanie dongsaeng to you- who came to your birthday party with the intention of finishing all your food on my own. I’m kidding, I treated you with nice pizza, I recall! I couldn't do much for your last year birthday. I was just one girl in a crowd of your friends. Look where I am now. Who whould've thought after a year since we met, I would have the chance to arrange your birthday surprise and I'm not just one of the crowd in your special day. I'm in charge as your girlfriend- no, even better, your fiancé. I am really excited preparing all of this, and I am so thankful to all your friends, our friends, that are willing to help me make this happen. I can't do this without them. I hope by seeing this, you'll get that you're unquestionably loved by us.

I love every parts of either the bumpy and/or smooth ride we went through together--- since the last August till present. I’ve learned lots about you. Remember when I told you ‘you’re kind of mysterious’ (or something like that) in my letter a year ago? I’ve been granted to learn every inch of you for the past year and I should be thanking you for trusting me that much. You always feel sorry for not being good enough whilst truthfully, you’ve been the best and better company I’ve ever had. If you’re not good enough, I won’t be bragging about you all the time and make the poor people envy of how amazing my boyfriend is. If you’re not good enough, who am I doing an occasional-staying-up-late for?. If you’re not good enough, I would find it hard to put any effort making gifts for our monthsaries. I’m a serious lazy assholes for those I don’t care about. If you’re not good enough, why would I start adopting your little habits? If you’re not good enough, why do I wish to travel the world with you which basically just the same as wishing to be with you practically for the rest of my life? You are enough. Way more than enough. Sometimes I just don’t want anyone else to find out how amazing you are.  Because if they do, they will try to do attractive things to get your attention in effort to take you away from me. Sigh, if you’re not good enough, I’d never become this paranoid, you know.

I cannot stress how unsettling it would be not having you in my life. You’ve become such a huge part of my heart that if you were to magically disappear, I think I wouldn’t be living well because, well, most of my heart wouldn’t be there anyway. I’ve seen you grow and do magnificent and independent things a man could ever done in such a young age—you probably would never understand how proud I am of you. I hope to watch you grow more and become an even better person (if that’s possible, heck, you’re flawless.) And hey, maybe even spend the rest of eternity together when we’re free from these mortal chains and our souls can fly without scarves on. Heh.

Last but not least, be cheery for your birthday. You are as youthful as a sprite, as into bright colors as a kindergartner, and as witty as the coolest high school class clown. Be excited for your birthday because you’re not growing older, now you’re only 27/26-years-young. And also, since you got yourself lots of food, drinks, balloons and letters.

Hooorrraaah for your birthday! I wish it is pleasantly memorable for you. Thank you for being you.

  PS: It’s been a while since we both spare some time to catch up with our friends. Neither of us does well in maintaining friendship, apparently. But true friends never forget and never are forgotten. Especially on your birthday, I want to prove it to you that your friends are happy they get to celebrate this day with you around. I want to tell you that even with the lack of communication, many days of not knowing what’s going on with each other; they miss you just as much as you do. Read each one of the letters intently. Your morning might become even brighter.
