A heroin (diamorphine) or other opiate/opioid addict may use codeine to ward off the effects of withdrawal during periods where their preferred drug is unavailable or unaffordable.

Codeine is also available in conjunction with the anti-nausea medication promethazine in the form of a syrup. Brand named as Phenergan with Codeine or in generic form as promethazine with codeine, it began to be mixed with soft drinks in the 1990s as a recreational drug, called 'syrup', 'lean', or 'purple drank'. Rapper Pimp C, from the group UGK, died from an overdose of this combination.

Codeine is used in illegal drug laboratories to make morphine.

Can’t say we saw this coming. Apparently the Star Wars R2-D2 Tamagotchi is available at America’s favorite pharmacy. CVS Pharmacy is an American retail corporation thousands of locations nationwide. Littleladyotaku was at their local CVS Pharmacy location in Florida and was surprised to see a R2-D2 Tamagotchi on the shelf in the toy section. Apparently it was the last one on the shelf, and they were listed for $19.99.

On November 26, thanksgiving day, I got my Covid test results back and they were positive.

I haven’t had to be hospitalized. I didn’t have much trouble with my lungs, but I felt feverish (no actual fever until yesterday for a few hours, though) and exhausted and I had a constant headache and nausea and a cough, and I completely lost my sense of smell. I haven’t been able to eat much because of the nausea, which probably contributed to the weakness, but that definitely wasn’t the only factor. There was a point where I was vomiting speckles of blood and got really scared, but I called a doctor and they calmed me down and since it stopped and I didn’t have severe pains and other things, they said I should be fine, and I was. This is NOT an experience I’d like to repeat and have never been this sick for three weeks straight in my life. If I’d had more trouble breathing, I don’t know what I’d have done.

Today I feel infinitely better and am up doing chores bc today is garbage day and I haven’t had this much energy in three weeks, and there’s stuff that needs done before I crash again. I might throw a dinner in the crock pot, bc Lord knows we can’t keep using food delivery if we want to be able to pay our bills haha.

I gave up trying to keep away from him bc he panicked and knows how to open all the doors in the house by rattling them underneath until the latch pops, and that’s REALLY annoying when you have an all consuming migraine ALL the time.
