Group therapy session anyone?

Another mama bird (or maybe the same mama bird I can’t tell) built her nest on the porch fan outside again. A storm caused the last nest to blow away and the eggs didn’t survive. It was a messy clean up. After that happened I was so sure I wanted to get rid of the ugly fan once and for all. Just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. A couple of weeks ago I noticed the second nest, and again delayed taking down the fan because I don’t want to be a murderer. And today I finally saw mama bird feeding her babies <3 In that moment I remembered long ago we had a large plant that tangled around our porch railings and as a kid I watched robins build a nest there and lay small, beautiful blue eggs. I would go outside everyday to check on the nest and make sure they were safe. It was an experience I’ll never forget. And for a minute I wanted to keep the porch fan because I want my kids to experience that too. I want them to witness the beauty of nature in their own backyard. But then I remembered I plan on planting a tree and there will be plenty of opportunities to see a bird’s nest inshallah, I don’t need a monstrous fan. It leaves when the birds do.
