This was one of those evenings that were easy to imagine, but who’d a thought it would actually happen... Ten years ago, back in 2010, after reading Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck’s description of their newly released Cuvée du Chateau 2010 - a beer made to taste somewhat like a 10 year old beer, I just had to put a bottle in the cellar and see how it tasted when actually vintage 10 years old... delicious. Yum. Better than what I remember from 10 years back. Rich dark fruity vinous anise infused alcohol Porto with roasted caramel malts, some chocolate, spice and more.
