A few turns later, the group spots a light ahead, with in it’s center a figure emerging from the fog. It's an old Goblin man. He wears a necklace of large sharp teeth and a hood with small deer antlers, and he leans on a decorated wooden staff. The most striking thing about him, however, is that he is transparent and glows with a soft blue light.

Paladin Bunto immediately goes on full alert. He casts a "Detect Undead" and a "Detect Evil". The Goblin is undead, but doesn’t appear malicious.

On the contrary, he waves enthusiastically at the group and shouts: "Well done, young warriors! My compliments!"

"Who are you?" Bunto inquires, still suspicious.

"I'm Cuttlebone." the Goblin replies.

"Cuttlebone?" Gail asks, "The priest? But… if I understand correctly, you are dead, aren't you? ”

"That's right." says Cuttlebone. “I’m temporarily resurrected to accompany you during the ritual, as one of the ancestor spirits. That’s my job, as the latest priest to have died. "

"If you wish, I could deliver you from your undead state and give you eternal peace." Bunto suggests. 

"Thank you, but that's not necessary." Cuttlebone answers, "I’ll be relieved when the next priest dies."

"Are you sure?" Bunto insists, "Don't you mind walking around as an unnatural abomination all this time?"

“No, not at all. It is just once a year. And I passed away only recently. This is the first time I’m experiencing the ritual from this side. I find the whole thing very exciting. ”
