FROM THE INBOX:Â â if you canât do it for yourself, then do it for me. do it because i need you. â / @cutietmâ Bridget & Felix
Chat Noir felt stupid for how much heâd come to trust Bridget over their chance meetings. Though, theyâd stopped being chance meetings a long time ago. She was a safe place, somewhere he could go when he didnât want to go home after patrol, or when he needed someone to patch him up after a fight, which was more often then he liked to admit.
Even with their ragtag team of young heroes growing by the day, Chat Noir was not a fighter, and he relied heavily on the magic Plagg provided him.
Maybe tonight had just been the tipping point, itâd been a long time coming, if he was being honest with himself. He needed someone to talk too, and he couldnât talk to Melody. She knew the situation, but she was more of a hero then he would ever be.
He didnât want this life, he never had. Tonight wasnât even the first time heâd told Ladybug that to her face.
It was just the first time the rest of the team had heard him.
Her words catch him off guard, and he looks up, finally broken from the silence heâd fallen into after sheâd coaxed him into letting loose everything heâd keep silent about, after admitting he wasnât a hero, he was just some poor bastard who got saddled with the job, and how heâd nearly gotten them all killed with his cowardice tonight. He felt terrible for that too.
âYou need me?â Somehow, he doesnât believe that. âYou donât need to say things to make me feel better, Bridget. I messed up tonight, Iâm grown up enough to admit it.â
