Wolf discovering baby tomatoes tho (fanfic idea)
On another episode of “Wolf Makes Life Changing Discoveries”
"We should be heading to Luna," Wolf mumbled to himself. Cinder swiveled to face him, an impatient frown set on her face.
"If we keep heading to Luna, we’re going to starve. We’re only stopping at a market for ten minutes to get food."
Wolf looked up at the sky, noticing that he could see Luna in broad daylight.Â
"I bet she’s hungry where she is," he continued bitterly.Â
"Oh stars above! We’re all going to pass over dead because Wolf is too lovesick to take care of himself!" Thorne exclaimed. Wolf turned and growled, but was too weak to look frightening.Â
"Wolf," Cress spoke up gingerly. She placed a friendly hand on his arm and tried to smile as warmly as possible, though it seemed to be only making Wolf uncomfortable. "Look, Scarlet it expecting you to come save her, yeah? And right now you’re not doing so hot, so how are you supposed to fight when we get there? We’re just gonna get enough food to keep us going. Maybe even some baby tomatoes!"Â
"Tomatoes?" Wolf asked, perking up.Â
"It’s been a long time since you’ve had those, huh." Wolf didn’t want to admit how right Cress was. He agreed, but looked a little less than pleased.
"There it is!" Thorne said with mock excitement once they’d entered the market. "The shop specifically for tomatoes! Eat to your hearts content-"Â
Wolf dashed away before Thorne could even finish his sentence.Â
Cinder had offered to give Wolf money for the food, but apparently he had money from an “occupation I want to forget.”
When Wolf got to the stand, he stared down in amazement.
"There’s so many!" he commented. The produce seller looked at Wolf in confusion.Â
"Of course there is," he said. "This is a tomato stand."Â
Wolf ran his fingers along the tomatoes, trying to pick out the perfect one. His long nails scratched the skin off of some of them, forcing him to add them to his purchase.Â
“Are those?” The shop keeper rose his eyebrows at the sudden fascination.Â
"Baby tomatoes," the store owner finished. There were several baskets of them, each full to the brim with tiny olive sized tomatoes.Â
"That’s why they call them baby tomatoes. People prefer them because they’re a little cheaper sometimes."Â
So of course, there was nothing else for Wolf to do. He bought them all.Â
“Wolf did you need to buy thirty baskets of baby tomatoes?”Â
