Re-NEET Toppers List 2026: Aryan Gupta & Panshul Bansal Share AIR 1 with 715 Marks
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the category-wise qualifying cut-off marks for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 along with the declaration of the Re-NEET UG 2026 results. While the qualifying percentiles remain unchanged from the previous year, the qualifying marks range has increased across all categories, reflecting the overall performance of candidates in this year's examination. Candidates who have secured the prescribed cut-off marks will now be eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical programmes.
According to the official cut-off list, candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories must secure marks within the 715 to 213 range to qualify for NEET UG 2026. Last year, the qualifying range for these categories stood at 686 to 144 marks. Despite the increase in qualifying scores, the qualifying percentile continues to remain at the 50th percentile for the UR and EWS categories, as prescribed under the admission guidelines.
The qualifying marks have also witnessed a substantial increase for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories. This year, candidates from these categories have qualified with scores ranging from 212 to 177 marks, compared to the 143 to 113 range recorded in 2025. However, the qualifying percentile for all three reserved categories remains unchanged at the 40th percentile.
For candidates under the UR/EWS-PwBD category, the qualifying cut-off range has increased to 212 to 194 marks from 143 to 127 in the previous year. Similarly, the cut-off for OBC-PwBD and SC-PwBD candidates has been revised to 193 to 177 marks, while candidates in the ST-PwBD category are required to secure marks in the 191 to 178 range to qualify. These revised cut-offs have been determined based on the overall performance of candidates and the score distribution in this year's examination.
The NTA has also released the category-wise number of qualified candidates. According to the data, 9,96,935 candidates have qualified under the UR/EWS category, while 81,111 candidates qualified from the OBC category. Additionally, 29,947 Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and 12,452 Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates have qualified in the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination.
Although the qualifying percentiles have remained unchanged from last year, the increase in qualifying marks has been attributed to the overall performance of candidates, the level of difficulty of the examination and the distribution of scores. This year's Re-NEET UG witnessed a strong performance by candidates, with 19 aspirants scoring more than 700 marks.
According to the National Testing Agency, a total of 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination. Qualified candidates will now become eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to undergraduate medical programmes, including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other allied courses. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the detailed counselling schedule shortly, following which the seat allocation process for the 2026-27 academic session will commence.
