🎯 Custom Matte Black Stripes on a 2006 Mustang GT. 5 Reasons Why Stripes Still Rock
Today was a good day in the shop. I just finished a full custom matte black stripe install on a beautiful red 2006 Mustang GT convertible and wow, it completely changed the car’s vibe.
Originally, the customer brought in a cheap precut stripe kit, but the quality was bad and it just wouldn’t sit right. I didn’t want to deliver anything less than clean and perfect, so I switched to my own 3M matte black vinyl and used knifeless tape to custom-cut stripes the proper way.
I ran the stripes from the bottom of the front bumper all the way to the back, hood to trunk. I had to remove the hood sprinkles, rear spoiler, taillight trim, and more just to make it seamless but it was worth every minute. The whole job took around 5 hours, and now the car looks show-ready. Sleek, bold, aggressive.
