he’s all finished now but I realised I never posted these wips of the champ repaint, I think he looked pretty nice at this stage and his features were really starting to show! I’d love to do a no paint + face tattoo darby repaint someday aaa

I’ve always hated when people resorted to saying this when it came to police killings of black people. What it tells me is that “You’re right that they kill black people unjustly, yet I’d rather direct your attention at who kills black people MORE so that you don’t make me hold cops accountable!” And to answer his question: Maybe because cops shouldn’t be killing people unjustly in the first place? Like those people signed up to protect and serve their community, but end up killing us because they’re scared? Then maybe be a telemarketer instead. I hold cops to a higher standard than Black Dude from Down The Street because its their job to enforce the proper punishment to whatever offense was committed (if any); lethal force is meant as a last resort. He’s trying to make it seem like I hate cops or white folk; I don’t. What I hate is being scared of dying because of some traffic violation or a “routine stop”. Like I don’t want to reach for my registration because I’m scared that they’ll be scared due to some preconceived notion.

weeee the custom heads arrived and they’re (almost) the right size! the peg doesn’t quite fit but the annoying tilt it’s giving matt is perfect anyway lol he is going to pout so severely when he’s painted. I think these’ll look perfect on the new unmatched series boys when they’re released :D
