She didn't go out much, it was hard to balance all of life's spinning plates. Cass had let the social life one go, and in all honesty it been probably for the better. There were less triggers in the safety of her room, less things that made her fly off the handle.

Elliot had been really kind when he asked and well she had a hard time saying no. Cass knew what she could handle and would just need to keep tight reins on that.

"Soooo what brought this on?" Not that she was against the idea it just was a little surprising.

I hope you know that you’re my best friend. You mean the world to me and I love you more than I probably should. You’re fun and silly and someone that I would spend the rest of my life with. Thank you for putting up with all of my shit and not making me feel bad about it.

Cam shook his head, the tip of his cigarette illuminating his face. "I'm fine," he muttered, for good measure, and looked up at the sharp sliver of the waxing moon.

He was actually quite cold. May nights were not as summery as one might hope. Didn't matter, though. Campbell didn't deserve the comfort of a blanket anyway. If some numb fingers right now meant he wouldn't do something worse later, he figured that was a very responsible decision of him.

Harley gave Elliot a somewhat sad smile before quickly looking away from him. “Damn, if I’m the most important person in your life, ya might need better friends E.” She gave him a teasing nudge before nodding, keeping her eyes off of him, hoping she could hide her deeper feelings if he didn’t see her face fully. “You’re the most important person in mine too. So don’t do anythin’ stupid to get yourself killed.”

The cold marble steps in the hallway are one of her favourite places. Even in the summer the stone is cold and it’s such a contrast to the way her skin burns when she is stressed that it does…something to help her think with clarity. 

Maybe. Usually. 

Mel…truly doesn’t know what she is going to do. Great, another deposition, great. That was the only thing going through her head. Great. 

She doesn’t know how else to feel about it. Fuck. 

Head in her hands, she wants the world to swallow her whole, just to stop existing for a little while so she doesn’t have to deal with another round of this unholy bullshit, and then there is a hand on her back, a warm presence beside her and she can’t help but slide into the side on hug.
