Prompt: Fire or Water. Where to begin? The weeping monk was the skilled warrior where the people feared him. He was a complicated man. Until he met the sister of the Fey Queen who had lived under the shadows for so long.

THIS IS A SERIES: one - two - three - four - five - six - seven - eight - nine - epilogueÂ
The sound of fast speed footsteps was all you could hear, and the tall green trees that surrounded you was all you could see. It seemed distant, but you could overhear the steps of the horses and men who were shouting. You guessed that someone was chasing the mysterious figure who was holding you.Â
Looking up with your small eyes, it was a woman. You guessed it that it was your mother, but it was so vague that you couldn't figure it out. She held the baby tightly before she turned around to see that the men were far away from her.Â
The woman placed the baby somewhere into the deep woods so that the Red Paladins couldn't see it. The baby left out a small cry when she saw her distraught expression. The only thought she had in her mind was that she hoped that the baby would be safe.Â
''There she is!'' She heard one of the men roars as she gasped in fear before the woman took a final look at her daughter before she sprinted away. On the other side of the forest, father Carden looked towards the woman who was running away from them. He turned next to his loyal warrior.Â
He wore dark clothing as he had his hood on where it covered his crying face. ''Catch her, and after that, you will force her to tell us where the child is, but if she doesn't, kill her, we will find the damn child without her,'' He informed him as he nodded.Â
The weeping monk did what Father Carden exactly told him. The woman was stubborn, and she would not tell them. He knew that Father Carden had a plan. He always had when things won't go to his plan. The woman screamed and pleaded while he drove the sword into her heart as she fell to the ground dead.Â

''Y/n!'' You woke up with a start as your mind was foggy, and a minute, it seemed that you forgot where you were. That changed when you saw the worry on Nimue's expression in front of you, and it reminded you that you were in the village.Â
''Nimue,'' You replied as your realization came to alive.
''Another nightmare?'' She asked as she was sitting on the edge of the bed.Â
''Yes, strange enough, it's always the same,'' You muttered before you sighed tiredly.Â
''Come on, I think Squirrel can cheer you up,'' She told you as you chuckled towards the thief boy. You got up from your bed while you freshened up your entire body as picked up a simple dress for the day.Â
While you got out of your hut, you could see the hatred and the disgusted expressions that the Fey folk would give you. Ever since you were a child, the two of you had trouble fitting into the Fey folk. While Nimue was being bullied and harassed that she was different, you, however, got to deal with the loneliness.Â
People believed that Nimue was cursed by what had happened when she was a child. And it was even worse than the children would bully you because that you didn't even get to know your biological parents.Â
You knew that your mother had hidden something from you. It was even worse that you got to know by the children in the village that they weren't even your biological parents.Â
Lenora had found you, storming inside the hut with raging and betrayed eyes when you found out that you were not their child by blood. You ran away before she could even explain, but Nimue was heartbroken and found you by the lake where she would go when she felt sad and lonely.Â
She told you that she didn't care that you weren't her sister by blood. You were her sister, no matter what. And ever since that day, the two of you had promised each other that you would protect each other.Â
''Come on, ignore those looks,'' You whispered to her as you dragged her arm away from the people. The two of you were picking some flowers for the ceremony. ''Shoot, I forgot to pick an offer for the ceremony today,'' Nimue told you.Â
''I will meet you and Squirrel later, Ok?'' She asked you as you nodded with a smile. The two of you hugged before saying goodbye as you looked after Squirrel. You figured out that he is somewhere and looking for something to steal.Â
You never went to the ceremony because your mother wouldn't let you. You didn't know why but you seemed that she had requested you to be with them on the beach, but the elders didn't take a liking to you. Probably because they're afraid of you and that you were different than Nimue.Â
''Y/n!'' Upon as you heard your name from the familiar voice, you turned around as you saw Squirrel coming towards you with a grin.Â
''Squirrel!'' You exclaimed happily. You had met the child and quickly bonded with him when you and Nimue caught him stealing one day. He pleaded both of you that you guys wouldn't tell his father, and ever since that day, the three of you became friends.Â
''Look what I found,'' He replied as he showed you a leather flask. You frowned towards the item before you rolled your eyes as you bent the knee to his level.Â
''Let me guess, you stole this?''Â
''No...'' Squirrel sheepishly answered as he lowered his gaze on the ground as he kept glancing at you. You raised an eyebrow.
''Alright, fine,'' He whined as you smiled in victory.Â
''Besides, how many times have Nimue and I told you not to steal?'' You scolded him as he shrugged his shoulders. He took a sip from the flask before he visibly winced towards the strong liquid. You chuckled towards the expression he gave towards you.Â
''Bit strong,'' He replied.Â
''Squirrel, where did you get that?'' You heard your sister exclaim when she saw the flask in his hand. ''Well, he's been roaming around the village like a thief,'' You gave him a look.
''Found it, it's a bit strong but not bad,'' You left out a giggle as you shook your head towards the small boy. You knew that he was only trying to survive, but sometimes you couldn't help feeling worried that he might steal something bad.Â
''Witch,'' Someone sneered past the three of you as you turned your expression towards the villagers. You could feel that your stomach turned uneasy, and you knew that Nimue wasn't the same when the people were using that word.Â
''Piss off, you old wag,'' You snapped.Â
''Yeah, piss off!'' Squirrel repeated as you watched the woman roll her eyes. You turned around as you saw your sister with a dreadful expression. ''Anyway, are you heading to the pyre?'' He asked Nimue before he continued.Â
''I wish I could go,'' He spoke sadly.Â
''Someday, little knight,'' She spoke.Â
''Besides, you have y/n over here so she can keep you company,'' Nimue informed him.Â
-
Turning your gaze towards the solar eclipse before it disappeared, you felt that something was wrong. Call it a gut feeling, but you knew that something was wrong with Nimue. The two of you were sisters, and you knew her very well.Â
As you told Squirrel that you were going home, you ran towards the village where you saw her arguing with your mother. ''What is going on? I saw the eclipse,'' You made your presence known as they both snapped their attention towards you.Â
''Nimue is the next chosen,'' Lenora responded. You widened your eyes as you looked towards your sister. ''Well, not anymore,'' She snapped before she ran towards the hut. ''Nimue! Come back here!'' You heard your mother yell next to you.Â
You followed after Nimue as you heard your mother calling after your name, but you ignored it. ''Nimue!'' You called her as you saw Pym following after the three of you. Pym was another friend that the two of you had.Â
''Nimue! What happened?'' You questioned with worry as you walked into the cottage. You watched Nimue pack her belongings into her bag.Â
''Nimue, please, talk to me,'' You pleaded. Your heart was beating so fast as you watched her with fear. ''I'm a summoner,'' She replied.Â
''You're a what?'' ''Yeah, I know that,''Â
You and Pym said at the same time. ''How?'' You asked her with confusion. ''You know-how, the hidden chose me,'' She informed as you watched her hurry.Â
''Besides, it doesn't matter, I'm going,'' She told you. You couldn't believe this. You understood that she doesn't want to be a summoner. Because she was afraid of what the people will say about her. But that doesn't mean that she would leave without you, you were her sister for god sake.Â
''How can you even go?'' Pym asked.Â
''I'm getting on that ship today, it's still on Hawksbridge,'' Nimue said.Â
''Then take me with you,'' You replied as she stopped and turned around.Â
''No,'' You rolled your eyes.Â
''That wasn't a question, we promised each other,'' You told her.Â
''Besides, they don't want me here, and I don't want them,'' Nimue said as she flickered her gaze between you and Pym.
''Who? The elders? What cares what do these shriveled onions think?'' Pym replied. Nimue sighed before she walked past you as you looked towards Pym before the two of you followed after her.
''Oh, My Gods, You're acting mad, we're following you,''Â
-
After hours of riding, you began to grow tired. It seemed that Nimue wasn't going to change her mind. ''I can't believe both of you dragged me here,'' Pym complained as you chuckled.Â
''I've got Iye smell all over me,''Â
''You know, no one asked you two come,'' You replied as Pym shrugged her shoulders. ''Well, both of you don't know what you're doing,'' She responded as you left out an offended gasp.
''That is an insult, besides, I do know, it's just Nimue doesn't know,'' You replied as you glanced towards Nimue, who rolled her eyes towards your sentence.Â
''I do know, sister, Gawain took the Brass Shield, the only ship that crosses the sea to the desert kingdoms,'' She explained while Pym gave her a look from behind. ''Because nobody wants to go to the desert kingdoms, which should tell you something,''
''She's right,'' You responded.
''I'm getting on it,'' Nimue responded sourly as you could see the town in front of you. The two of you began to ride faster as you were closer to the town.Â
''At least your mother wants you home, mine wants out,'' Pym told you two. ''And this will be her excuse, she'll say, Nimue's gone, get on with it,'' Nimue and you began to chuckle.Â
''And she wants to sell me to the fishmonker,'' Pym whined.Â
''Stinky Aaron,'' Nimue said with humor in her voice.
''It's not funny!'' She complained as you turned next to her with a teasing smirk. ''It's kind of funny,''Â
-
As you got off from your horse, you watched the crowded marketplace. ''What if they found out you're a girl?'' Pym questioned after they had given their horses to a loyal boy.Â
You followed next to them as the three of you speedily walked towards the docks. ''I'm cutting my hair,'' Nimue answered simply as you rolled your eyes towards Pym.
''But what if they found out if you're a fey kind?''Â
''They won't,'' Nimue brushed off the comment. ''You'll look after the old boy?'' Nimue asked her as she turned to face her.Â
''No, I'll let him starve,'' Pym answered sarcastically as you let out a small smile. ''She's joking,'' You assured her when you saw the shocked face on your sister.Â
''What about the money?'' Pym asked again.
''I have twenty silvers,'' Nimue responded as she looked towards Pym.Â
''What if they rob you?'' You sighed. You knew that Pym was worried for her friend, but you knew that your sister could take care of herself. She always had.Â
''Pym, that's enough questions,'' You told her off. Pym sighed as she knew that you were right. The three of you continued to look after the Brass Shield, but it was nowhere to be found.Â
-
''I don't see the ship,'' Nimue muttered next to you. You felt bad for her since she tried to escape her destiny. ''Alright, you've made your point,'' Pym spoke up after the long silence. The three of you kept staring towards the sea.
''No,'' Nimue said in despair as she ran faster as she tried to find someone to ask why the ship wasn't there. ''Brass left yesterday,'' She heard the man in front of Nimue respond to her question.
You panted heavily after you had tried to catch up with Nimue. ''But...it's not supposed to leave for another week,'' Nimue muttered to herself. ''When does it return?'' You spoke up as the man flickered his gaze towards you.
''Six months, now do you mind?'' He replied as he pushed himself to the other side and walked away. ''At least we can keep you a little longer?'' She asked hesitantly. ''Six months,'' Nimue told her as you stood next to her and placed your arm around her.Â
''I know,'' Pym replied. ''Come on,'' Pym told you as she dragged both of you back towards the marketplace.Â

Summary: Youâre a production assistant on the set of Cursed. The night before your first day at work, you opened your laptop to shockingly realise youâd be working with Daniel Sharman (and a plethora of other amazing actors), someone youâd been watching on screen since you were a teenager. You kept your expectations low, the PAs rarely got to interact with the talentâŚwhat was your chance?
Warnings: age gap between reader and Daniel, swearing, slow burn, mentions of sex
Notes: So sorry if this chapter is also a bit all over the place! Iâve been very distracted with school and itâs been a bit harder to find the time to write. All that said, hereâs chapter seven and I hope you guys enjoy it!! Sorry again in advance for the lack of Daniel content, but I promisee that the next will have a lot more to make up for it. Thanks for reading!

âWeâre good then?â he said, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.
âOfcourseâŚ.yeahâŚ.we were always goodâ you mumbled.
He smiled at you before turning around and walking away.Â
What had just happened? You didnât know if this day was the best you had ever had or the worst.Â
It was probably both.Â
As you pulled off your headset, your heartbeat thudded in your ears. Too many thoughts rushed through your mind, some good some bad. Why was he apologising to you? Did he really think he was at fault? And had he actually heard the part where Cassandra mentions you getting nervous around him? Had he noticed your uneasy behaviour? Or was he going to start noticing?Â
You thought youâd hid it oh so wellâŚthat no one could tell you had a weird crush on Daniel. Was it even a crush? Or was it feelings? You barely knew him, youâd have to get over it sooner or laterâŚor atleast you hoped you would.Â
One part of you wished you could be like Siara. She didnât give a shit if they were actors. She saw them as regular human beings and nothing more. She didnât get nervous or starstruck. From what youâd seen, those were the type of people actors felt comfortable around to like and be friends with. Not anxious fangirls like you.
You shook your head, shivering. Why did it have to be so cold?Â
6:06 pmÂ
You walked into your apartment, which was not much warmer than the outside. You took off your sweater and put on a thicker one, also grabbing a warm blanket and settling on your couch. The second you turned on your tv, you saw that Netflix was recommending Medici to you. You had seen from Daniels instagram that he was starring in the second season. Maybe this was a sign that it was time to watch the first. You clicked play and leaned back into your couch, letting the show whisk you away from your own troubles.Â

3:32 am
You jerked awake when your phone vibrated on your thigh. You were shocked when you looked down at your watch to see it was half past three. You had only gotten through one episode of Medici before falling asleep from your exhaustion. You contemplated falling asleep again but decided against it, you were starving and hadnât had anything to eat since 12:30.Â
You felt oddly refreshed, and felt like going out to get something to eat. You usually werenât the spontaneous type, especially not at 3 amâŚbut for some reason, your body craved fast food and also the cold night air. You though it out in your head and decided that you could get drive thru and eat it in your car, and by the time you were done, it would be time for work anyways.Â
You got up and got ready. Freshening up and putting on your âwork clothesâ. You hadnât slept for eight hours straight in a while and so didnât even feel the need to drink your usual cup of morning coffee.Â
You grabbed your jacket and headed out, your keys jingling as you locked your apartment door.Â
The night breeze was just as you imagined. The cold crisp air felt oddly refreshing against your face, and you could almost taste the coldness when you inhaled. You had kept your car window down, weirdly craving the chillness.Â
After a few minutes though, you found yourself shivering and rolled up your car window, licking your lips to warm them. You thought over where to get breakfast (or dinner?), and decided that McDonalds was your best bet. You knew theyâd be open and also exactly what to get.Â
It took you five minutes to get to your local McDonalds. You pulled into the drive thru window and ordered a McChicken, a large fries, a coke, and an Oreo mcflurry. You usually never ate a big breakfast, especially before work, but you were starving and felt like you could eat their whole menu. Actually, you were holding back.Â
You got the food, breathing deeply when the hot smell of salty fries wafted towards your nose. There was a 7/11 a few shops down so you went and parked in front of it. From you seat, you could clearly see the door of the 7/11, and also the inside through the windows. It was one of the few places open at this time and you loved people watching. Especially people at a store at 4 am in the morning.
You pulled out your food and took a bite, your jaw aching with pleasure. When you took a sip of the coke, you could feel the cool liquid travel down your throat and through your chest. You looked up and saw that there was a cashier inside the 7/11, a teenage boy. He was sitting on a chair, his eyes droopy.
You tore your eyes from him when you heard a car pull into a parking spot a few spaces away from you. Your eyes widened in confusion when you saw Bradley step out. You knew your next actions were stupid and immature but you still went ahead.Â
You quickly (but carefully) put your food down on the seat next to you, and with unnatural swiftness, pushed/jumped yourself onto the back seat, lying flat on your back so he wouldnât see you. You hoped he hadnât seen the car move, but you donât think he did since a second later you saw him walk into the 7/11, unbothered. You took a deep breath looking at your watch, it was 4:12 am. Huey had texted you saying that the crew and actors both would have an early start today. You would have to be at the studio by 5:00, which was 10 minutes from the store.Â
The position you were in wasnât uncomfortable, but it was definitely getting slightly hard to breath. What the fuck were you doing? You should just get up and continue eating, he probably wouldnât see you anyways.Â
Before you could, you saw him coming out and froze, holding your breath. You saw him look into your car but not at you, just at the empty front seats. There was a small box in his hand but you couldnât tell what it was. You waited for his car to pull out but after waiting for almost thirty seconds, you got increasingly confused. Suddenly the car started shaking rhythmically and your eyes widened when you realised what he was doing.Â
He was busy now so you quickly got up and climbed into the front seat.Â
Seriously? He was really having sex in a car an hour before work? It was odd but you werenât one to judge. You actually envied his spontaneity.Â
You started your car and drove away.
4:50 am
You opened the door of your car and got out, locking it behind you. You felt sick from all the food you ate, especially since it was right after you woke up. After you had driven away from the 7/11, you had decided to just eat in the studioâs parking lot and wait until it was time for work. Now.
You walked towards the building, rubbing your hands up and down your arms, your keys jingling in between your fingers. It was freezing this early in the morning.Â
When you walked into the studio, you were surprised to see all of the PAs except Bradley and Jay standing in a group together, talking to Huey. You walked over and greeted them, standing next to Siara. Huey was looking through the papers and you took the opportunity to ask her what exactly was happening.Â
âWhatâre you guys talking about?â you whispered.
She turned to you, also speaking quietly, âSomething about how we might have to travel somewhereâ
âUs?â you said surprised.Â
She nodded. You swallowed, trying to lessen your excitement. They would probably want the more experienced PAs anyways.Â
Huey cleared his throat and you turned to look at him.Â
âAlright. Please listen carefully since Iâm not going to repeat thisâ
Everyone nodded and he continued, âTo make a long story short, weâre going to be moving filming to England in two weeks and we want all of you to come with us. Itâs fine if youâre unable to, but it would be extremely convenient for the production if our crew were mostly the sameâÂ
He paused and you took a glance at Siara. Her expression was blank. You sighed looking away and at Huey, who was now speaking again.
âAll expenses, plane tickets and accommodation are payed for. Along with lunch, breakfast is also included. Weâll be in England for nine months with a two week break every three monthsâ
Distraught spread through you as you realised you would have to be in England for nine fucking monthsâŚonly if you accepted.Â
You nodded as Huey handed a folder to each of you, âThis has all of the information youâll needâŚif you decide to come, sign this and give it to me before the end of this weekâ. He walked away, leaving you all to discuss what you were to do.Â
Louis spoke up first, smiling widely, âPlease tell me you guys are coming, you have to comeâ, he sounded like an excited child.
You beamed, âI really want toâŚbut, itâs more than half a yearâ, you saw a sad expression spread over his face.Â
âIâm goingâŚIâve always wanted to visit Europeâ you heard Siara say.Â
âCome on Y/Nâ Louis said looking at you.
âIâll decide when I go home and let you both knowâ you said smiling. You wanted to go so bad, but the thought of nine months away from home terrified you. Even if you could visit.
10:48 pm
You had just gotten out of the shower and settled into your bed after drying off. Your work day had been exciting of course, but definitely not as eventful as yesterday. You hadnât interacted with Daniel except your usual âheyâ. You had talked to Jasmine about the change in shooting and she had told you that her and Cassandra were definitely going. Although you hated Cassandra, Jasmine was one of your closest friends on set and that made the decision much easier.Â
You pulled out your phone and opened yourâs and Louisâ chat.
Y/N Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hey, good news! Iâve decided Iâm gonna come. Iâm gonna miss Talia, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I donât wanna miss out at all!! I'm so excited [10:29 pm]
Louis                                                             What?? Thatâs great! I honest donât know what I wouldâve done without you [10:32 pm]
Y/N                                                              Hahaha                                                             Weâll def talk more about it at work tomorrow, I think I should really sleep now lmao [10:33 pm]Â
Louis                                                           Of course of course. Same here...gn! [10:33 pm]
Y/N Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Gn :) [10:34 pm]
You smiled to yourself before texting Siara as well. She usually took longer to reply so you decided not to wait and turned your phone off.Â
You were equally nervous, scared, and excited for the trip. Youâd get to travel? To another continent? Over a whole ocean? For nine fucking months? And almost for free? You honestly couldnât believe it. The nine months still scared you but you tried to focus on other things instead. Like the beautiful sights youâd get to see in your time offâŚand also the places youâd get to shoot scenes. Daniel obviously as well. You wondered for a while if he was happy to go to England too. It was his childhood home.Â

5:05 pm
You licked your lips to warm them as you entered Danielâs trailer and took a deep breath as the warmth inside enveloped you.
It had been two weeks of helping Cassandra and Jasmine and you had finally gotten the hang of it. So far, your first day had still definitely been the most eventful, with you cutting your finger and then Cassandra getting angry at you. The rest of the days had been much better in some ways. You were still very giddy around Daniel, but you had learned how to hide it.Â
It was also much easier since you were more confident in what you were doing. You had actual jobs, like removing his make up and getting his skin readyâŚthings which Jasmine used to do before you. Now that you did it, it gave Cassandra and Jasmine both more time to focus on his actual make up and hair. Cassandra wasnât much better. She hadnât blown up on you again like she had that day, but there was a significant increase in scowls, eyebrow raises, and dissaproving looks in general. If looks could kill, youâd be dead ten times over.Â
âHi Y/Nâ Jasmine said, as you closed the door behind you. You looked around and saw that Cassandra was absent. Thank God.Â
âHeyâ you replied, grinning. You glanced towards Daniel, who offered you a short smile.Â
You got to work, pulling out a make up wipe and rubbing down his face gently. You had learned that leaving the tears for last was best. That way you could use a separate, stronger wipe on them too.Â
Although you had done this about ten times now, it always made your flutter to be so near him. It was also odd how accustomed you had gotten with his skin. You noticed whenever he had a new scratch, or a pimple, a tanâŚany small changes.Â
For some reason, it made you feel special to be this close to him. It almost didnât make sense to your brain, how close you were to him everyday, yet how little you actually interacted with and knew about him.Â
Today you were too busy looking at his eyelashes and didnât realise you had run your wipe directly over a small cut on his jaw. He hissed slightly, opening his eyes. Jasmine cocked her head towards you both from where she was looking through a make up drawer.Â
Your mouth hung open in shock as you snatched your hand away from his face. Your eyes fell to where his cut was, and you swallowed. Why did you have to be so distracted and clumsy?Â
âOh no, Iâm so sorryâ you said nervously and rushed over to the sink, wetting the corner of a small towel.Â
You jogged back over to his chair, being extra gentle as you dabbed the damp corner on the cut, trying to wipe the make up wipeâs liquid away. You then dried it with the dry part of the towel.
âItâs fine really Y/Nâ he said laughing slightly, âIt happened during filmingâ
Your skipped a beat when you heard him say your name. It was still surreal to you that Daniel Sharman knew youâŚ.let alone you name. You smiled slightly before setting the towel down on the counter.Â
âIs it still stinging?â you said gesturing to his jaw, your hands shaking.
âOh no, not at allâ he said shaking his head. You felt that he wasnât telling the truth but you let it go. Grabbing the make up wipe, you continued wiping his make up off. It was a much smoother process, and you took the time to ease your racing heart rate.Â
The flight was tomorrow and you couldnât help but feel excited every time you thought about it. Louis had informed you that Jay and Bradley had opted out of coming on the trip. You were sad about Jayâs decision, but not so much Bradleyâs.Â
You were happy but also terrified that your work was taking you out of comfort zone. Jasmine had texted you yesterday saying that sheâd pick you up so you could both go to the airport together, which made the whole ordeal a whole less nerve wracking.Â
You had gotten quite used to this trailer, to the studioâŚ..and you hoped that your routine and jobs (that you had finally gotten somewhat good at), wouldnât change the minute you got to England.Â

2:58 am
You jerked awake and checked your phone, afraid youâd overslept. Nope, there was still a whole two minutes left until your alarm. The flight was at 7:00 am and you had told Jasmine that you wanted to get there atlaeast two and a half hours before. You rather be early and wait in the airport for an hour than be late and miss the flight.Â
You had thankfully packed everything the night before and it only took you almost forty minutes to get yourself and your bags ready. Just a few minutes after you were done, you phone rang. It was Jasmine.Â
âHey, youâre here?â you said, smiling and wheeling your suitcases closer to your apartmentâs door. You phone wedged between your cheek and shoulder.
âYes!â she said sounding excited. You were eager to go too, but you had only slept four hours and were finding it hard to get to her level of excitement.Â
âGreat..Iâll be right downâ
It was a struggle, but you managed to get both your suitcases into the elevator and onto the curb outside your apartment building where Jasmine was waiting. The cold night air hit you like a brick, and you felt energy surge through you.Â
Jasmine got out of her car quickly, âOh let me help you with thoseâ
You both loaded your suitcases into the trunk of her car. Y
You rubbed you hands together warming them, as you got into the car, you backpack at your feet. Jasmine started the car, beaming.Â
âYou excited?â she said, driving.
âVeryâ you laughed, turning the heater up. You were tired, but the adrenaline from your excitement kept you wide awake.Â
4:56 amÂ
It took you guys almost twenty minutes to get the airport, which wasnât bad. You were now walking through the airport, your luggage hopefully making itâs way onto your plane. You had made it through security smoothly, and there had been no problems with your boarding pass or passport. If there had, Cassandra wouldâve probably killed you both.Â
âWhatâs the gate number?â you asked Jasmine, who was holding the boarding passes.Â
âUhhâ she looked at them, â32Bâ
You nodded, just a little farther. The smell of coffee and food from the various little cafes made your stomach grumble.Â
You thought your adrenaline wouldâve died down by now but it hadnât. You tried to keep telling yourself that it was because you were travelling to EuropeâŚbut inside, you knew the real reason you were so excited.Â

You kept your expectations low, the PAs rarely got to interact with the talentâŚwhat was your chance?
Warnings:Â age gap between reader and Daniel, swearing, slow burn
Notes: I hope you guys like this chapter! I know the story is moving slowly (both the chapters are of the same day ahaha) but this is the readerâs first day on set so I wanted to make it really detailed! Thank you so much for reading and please leave feedback and suggestion..it makes my day!!
âââ
You stood up, dusting your knees to get rid of any residue from the hot tarmac. You couldnât get the picture of him looking at you out of your mind. You wondered if he would recognize you on setâŚor whether he thought you were creepy. You started walking towards the door, thoughts still rushing through your mind. Maybe he didnât think anything of itâŚor maybe he was still thinking about you, the stalkerish girl that was staring at himâŚ
âOw!â
Your hand clasped over your mouth as you realized you had opened the grey door too quickly, accidentally hitting one of the crew members.
âOh my God, Iâm so sorryâ you pleaded, lowering your handâŚyour first day and you had already injured someone.
The thirty something year old woman looked at you annoyingly, taking off her headset and rubbing her forehead, âShouldnât you be inside?â
âYeah..Iâm sorryâ your brain went blank as you tried to recall what you were doing outsideâŚ.
âI was just getting a batteryâ you said suddenly and gestured to your back pocket.
âA battery? Youâre a PA?â she lowered her hand, her expression softening
âYeahâ you said, letting out a breath of relief..maybe sheâd know where to find the other PAs, âItâs my first dayâ
âOh great!â she suddenly exclaimed, her mood changing..she held out her hand, âIâm the key production assistant, Naomiâ she smiled, her bright red lips pulling back to reveal pearly white teeth
You took it, glad but a bit taken aback by her sudden change in mood. Then you realizedâŚyou had essentially just injured one of your bosses..shit. How many more things could go wrong today?
âHey, nice to meet youâ you blurted out..the adrenaline from seeing Daniel and hitting the key PA with a metal door was thankfully dying down.
âHas Huey shown you around yet?â she asked, pulling her headset back on
You nodded, âYeah, he mainly gave me a tour of the basecampâ
âAwesomeâ she smiled again, âyou can follow meâ she said, starting to walk towards the basecamp, âI just need to do a couple more jobs in the trailers and then you can get startedâ
The butterflies in your stomach came alive again⌠what if she had a job near Danielâs trailer? Worse yet, what if she had to do something in Danielâs trailer?
âYou coming?â she said squinting and looking back at you..you realized youâd frozen in your spot.
âYeah..sorryâ you stumbled over your words again and jogged up to her. The walk was short, less than a minuteâŚit gave you plenty of time to get a good look at the trailer Daniel had previously gone into. The curtains were drawn over the windows so you couldnât see anything inside. Maybe there had been a makeup artist already waiting in there for him and he was getting ready.
You forced yourself to stop thinking about him and looked forward at the tens of other trailers. You wondered if any other actors had arrived while you were inside or busy apologizing to Naomi.
As if she read your mind, (these crew members had a gift), she spoke, âthe actors should be getting here any second nowâ she looked at the white watch on her wrist.
You decided to speak up, âI saw Daniel go into a trailer a few minutes agoâ
She looked at you, an odd look  across her face that you couldnât readâŚ.you quickly looked for any mistakes in your sentence and realized you had called him Daniel
âI mean Mr. Sharmanâ you stuttered, hoping she wouldnât get angry
Her expression quickly returned to normal and she suddenly broke out in laughter, clutching her stomach with her hands
âOH, darling, itâs fine!â she straightened up, still smiling brightly
âYou donât have to call him that in front of me..I was just a bit concerned because calling him by his first name implies you know of himâ she cleared her throat and you realized you were at the basecamp..âand knowing of these actors can lead to you becoming starstruck orâŚ. or distractedâŚ.itâs essentially a recipe for a disasterâ
That was unfortunate. You had been trying to tell yourself over and over again that you wouldnât.. no, couldnât get starstruck. As she said, it did seem like a ârecipe for disasterâ.
You looked around at the multiple trailers, and saw that there were actually a few people hovering around six or seven  of themâŚHuey had told you those were the costume department trailers.
Naomi started walking towards them. You forced yourself to keep your eyes facing forward, away from Danielâs trailer on the right.
There was a cool breeze in the air and you revelled in the feeling, the refreshing coldness washing over your face.
âNaomi can you take these to trailer thirteen?â A woman called out. She had curly long blonde hair and wore bright red glasses.
Naomi smiled and nodded. You both walked towards the trailers and the woman who was standing on the steps into one of the vehicles. The woman headed inside and you both followed her. The inside of the trailer was much larger than you thought and was bursting with racks full of various different costumes. You couldâve spent hours just looking through all the clothes but unfortunately this was work..and you had no such privilege.
The eccentric looking woman looked through one of the racks before pulling out a long black costume. It was covered by clear plastic so you couldnât really tell what it was but it seemed to be similar to a coat or robe. When she handed it to Naomi you saw that it also had a hood stitched onto the back.
Naomi gestured for you to head out of the trailer and you did so, carefully walking down the metal steps. You stopped beside the trailer, waiting for her next instruction.
She came up to you and handed you the hanger that the costume was hanging on.
âEach trailer is numbered, Iâm sure Huey told you thatâ, you nodded, he had, âthe number is on the main trailer doorâ you nodded again
âI want you to take thisâ she pointed at the clothing, âto trailer number thirteenâ, you thought you saw a slight grin dance across her face for a split second.
âAlrightâŚsureâ you said, that sounded simple enough.
âOnce youâre done, just come back hereâ she smiled before walking to one of the many people there
You nodded, smiling profusely and then walking away from the crowded trailers.
You wondered where trailer thirteen wasâŚthe costume trailer was twenty five so you started heading back the way you came. You looked at the doors and saw the numbers getting smaller. When you reached trailer fifteen you almost dropped the costume on the ground. It was two doors away from Danielâs trailer. What was your luck? As much as you wanted to meet Daniel, you werenât ready. Especially after what had happened earlier.
But this was work and you had to do your job and remain professional no matter the circumstances. You stalked up to the trailer mentally preparing yourself, you swore they could hear your heart beating all the way inside the trailerâŚâŚ but before you could even put your foot on the first step, a woman walked out. She held a brush in her handâŚa make-up brush.
âOh heyâ you said slightly taken aback,
âHey! This is for Daniel right?â she said, a grin plastered across her face. She seemed sweet, really sweet.
âI think soâ you said looking at the costume closelyâŚyou saw a small label which D.S was written on, âthey told me to bring it to trailer thirteenâ
âWell youâre at the right placeâ you stepped aside to let her move off the stairs. Suddenly another woman emerged from the trailer, her jet black hair was pulled back into a bun and she looked younger, maybe in her early twenties..close to your age actually.
âOh hey, Iâll take that for youâ she beamed and reached her hand out for the costume
You breathed a sigh of deep relief and suddenly all the nerves centered around meeting Daniel left your body. You were about to hand it to her, before the first woman..the supposed makeup artist spoke.
âJasmine, no, Â you come with me. I have to show you around the costume departmentâ, Jasmine walked down the steps, an apologetic look on her face. The makeup artist then turned to you, âyou can just take that inside and put it on the couch to your leftâ
âOh okay sureâ you said trying to seem confident. The nerves had returned in full force now but you tried your best to hide them. You hoped your face hadnât gone completely red. The door had been left slightly open and you slowly walked up the steps, thankful that the two women were now walking away.
You took a deep breath and opened the door. The inside was very different from the costume departments. There was only one rack in the corner and it was empty, there was a small purple couch on your left and a small door right in front of you which you guessed was to the bathroom. But the most interesting part was the long mirror that stretched across almost the whole wall opposite the door. It was similar to the set up at a salon, with a lower long table parallel to the mirror (supported by the wall) adorned with various different sorts of brushes, hairdryers, tweezers and three black leather spinning chairs also placed there.
In the middle chair, sat Daniel Sharman.
Your breath caught in your throat as you stepped into the trailer. You were afraid your legs might give way any second. He was on his phone, his hair tied back in a bunâŚa bored look on his face. You couldnât help but think about how attractive he looked.  His keys lay on the table in front of him, next to a magazine. You carefully walked towards the couch and remembered the rule about how you never talked to the talent. You were thankful for it at this pointâŚ.at least you didnât have to try and make conversation. He was still looking at his phone⌠had he even noticed you had come in? The clear plastic covering of the robe crinkled loudly as you placed it down on the couch, breathing heavily.
He looked up suddenly, his blue eyes catching yours in the mirror as your head jerked up to see if he had heard. He seemed alarmed at first but his expression softened when he realised that you had only just brought his costume.
He laughed softly, âYou scared me for a second thereâ he said, you could clearly hear his British accent.
âOhâŚsorry..â you said smiling anxiously. You knew you were very clearly blushing, you just hoped he hadnât taken any notice. He hadnât, he was looking right down at his phone again. You straightened your back, realizing he really didnât care about whether you were blushing or notâŚhe didnât actually care about you or what you were doing at all.
You walked back to the door. As you pulled it open, you heard his voice again,
âThank you..â
You couldnât help but smile as you muttered âyour welcomeâ and stepped out of the trailer. You took a small glance at him before closing the door and saw that he had a slight grin on his face as he put down his phone and picked up the magazine.
8:20 am
It was almost time for filming and you couldnât be more excited. Naomi had given you a walkie talkie and also a headset so you could communicate with the assistant directors and also the rest of the production assistants. You had been introduced to one other PA, his name was Louis. He had tan skin and shoulder length curly black hair. Cursed was his third and largest project yet.
He tapped you on the shoulder suddenly. You were standing in the studio waiting for the actors to arrive on set so they could start filming. You turned around, your arms crossed over your chest,
âyeah?â
He pointed to where the hallway entered the studio. Through it came Katherine Langford dressed in what looked like a nunâs clothes. You smiled widelyâŚ..first Daniel now Katherine? This day had been stressful and demanding and anxiety-ridden..but hopefully, finally getting to see all these actors play their characters would make it worth it.
Your heart beat faster in excitement as she walked over to the director for her instructions.
Louis spoke into your ear, âWhen theyâre about to start filming, Huey will say rolling into the earpieces⌠then every PA will repeat that after him so we can make sure everyone on the set knowsâ
He saw you had a confused look on your face and explained, âonly a few people on set have a headset, and the AD cant scream loud enough for everyone on set to hearâ
You nodded then, understanding âSo I just have to say rolling?â
He nodded turning back to the set.
Katherine was standing in the marble looking room that connected to what looked like a dining area with long wooden tables.
You suddenly saw Louis swivel his head towards the hallway and you did the same, your eyes widening at what you saw. Daniel was dressed in what you guessed was the long black costume you had brought into his trailer. His hood was raised over his head and as he walked into the studio you noticed that he had tear like markings drawn onto his face. Your mind wandered off to where you didnât want it toâŚyou couldnât deny that he looked hot.
âHe looks sick, doesnât he?â you heard Louis whisper into your ear
âHe really does,â you said, nodding eagerly. You were tired but seeing the actors in their costumes was like a splash of cold water to your face. Maybe you wouldnât fall asleep on set after all.
Please lmk what age youâd like the reader to be in the comments! I was thinking of keeping her in her early to mid 20s since that would fit with the fact that she had been watching Daniel since she was a teenager :))
