He was a family friend so he knew Dio when she was a child. He was often at her parents' house to spend the night or the other way around (apéro avec du RnB en fond, c'est ça la vibe) with some other family members.
Babysat Dio sometimes as well, he even took her to the movies a few times.
He often watched humor show, comedies or stand-up, so Dionysos grew up with those.
He's a very funny and silly guy.
He's the reason (wether it's because he consumed comedic medias or because he was funny himself) why Dionysos is into this stuff and wants to become/became a humorist.
Her parents stopped seeing him at some point for dumb reasons, Dio was kinda sad about that when she was a teenager, she felt like someone was missing, but she didn't know who exactly.
In her early 20s, she randomly stumbled on him in the street, well- More like he stumbled on her because she was looking at the ground and did not see him — he was the one who recognised her. They decided to go to a café to catch up and proceeded to exchange numbers to keep in touch.
Alain often reached out to her, to have news or just because he was genuinely interested in her/what she liked. She didn't tell him about her jobs yet because she's always embarassed when talking about it, even more when it's with an older person she knows.
He was truly amazed when he learned she was an artist. Even tho she didn't have crazy skills, he was admirative of the way she drew, the characters and stories she created.
He was also flabbergasted to learn she was also an humorist (she wasn't really famous, it was still at her beginings). He felt his heart flutter. She explained to him he was one of the reason she became a humorist and he just tried not to tear up (they both were on the verge of crying lmao). He was so proud of her, so proud of her for going into this field, for doing something she liked and because he knew how hard it was for her because of her mental health and social anxiety.
He was overall so proud of her for what she had become and because of how hard she was trying and how she was still here.

He takes a big part in Dio's healing and their reunion will have a positive impact on him as well.

-He's pretty much a gamer (a console guy) and he introduced Dio to gaming as well. He was the one who suggested her parents to buy a Wii and a Nintendo DS to her. He's also that one guy in the family who was putting all the games on one CD/the R4 🫣 He has nintendo consoles and playstations as well. His Wii was the first ever console Dio ever played with.
