~*Oakmask*~

Oakmask was the first wolf of the Pinewood to breed with another wolf outside of the pack, she did this behind her mother's back as she knew this would upset her. She is a quiet wolf, but she is rebellious in her own way, she frequently explores outside of the pack borders and tries to learn more about her family's secret burden.
She never wanted to be an heir to the pack, and tries everything she can to avoid it.
She hid her first litter well, before it became obvious she was pregnant. These pups were Adder, Kane, and Azura.
Adder and Kane are still with the Pinewood. Oakmask is proud of all of her pups, she recently welcomed her most recent pups, Tawnymask and Sunsilver to the pack, these two have a different father.
Azura ended up leaving to join another pack, adopting the name Yeti. She's expecting her own pups soon.

~*Willow*~

Willow is part of Stone's second litter, he's always been a quiet wolf, not a big fan of interacting with others. He very much enjoys his role as a scout, preferring to be alone out in the wilderness to the hustle and bustle of pack life. He often wonders if he would enjoy the life of a lone wolf, as he does not want a pairing or to mate. He's never liked pups very much, they're too noisy…and bitey.
He gets on well with his father Alder, and trusts him with his thoughts and feelings very dearly. He used to go on scouting missions with Alder as a young wolf when it became apparent that Willow would not thrive in a hunting party, or a pup sitter den.
Despite being a bit of a loner, Willow still enjoys watching the pack from a distance.

~*Cedar*~
Name: Cedar

Pairing: Ex pairing with Mountain-peak
Pups: Wisp

Cedar has a complicated view on being in the alpha wolf family. He wants to be able to lead, but feels immense pressure to conform to the rules. When he met Mountain-peak he felt like he had a way of proving himself to Stone - by providing another heir. He brought her into the pack, created a new hunting party with her, and bonded with her enough to form a pairing.
He didn't want this though, he never wanted to form a pairing, he continued through the lie and his first litter was born. Tamaskan and Wisp.
Tamaskan was taken to another pack as the pupsitters in Pinewood has become overwhelmed, and Wisp would have been the strongest pup to survive any hardship.
Tamaskan had since passed in the new pack.
This heartbreak was enough for Cedar to come clean to Mountain-peak, he never had feelings for her, he only wanted to prove himself. This changed Mountain-peaks attitude to the alpha-line wolves entirely, she was absolutely beside herself, and still harbours anger towards Cedar and his family to this day.
Wisp is strong and doing very well, unaware of the despair and underlying issues between her parents. Mountain-peak stays in the pack to support her daughter, and her blood right

~*Sand*~

Sand is part of Stone's 3rd litter, she's a capable wolf and very sure of what's right…until it comes to the rules. Like Oakmask, she broke the original rules set in place by Stone, and has had a litter of pups with a wolf outside of the pack.
Although she doesn't have an opinion on the leadership race her other siblings have going on, she does have opinions on how things are being run around here.. and she doesn't like it. She keeps this to herself though, and she intends to teach her own pups that rules are meant to be broken.
She protects the pups in her care with utmost focus and patience, and she intends on her life being on the line if it has to be for them.
Additional lore 10/07/2025:
Flames and Bass were forced from Sand, and we're given to another pack, she fought tooth and claw to keep those pups. She is angry beyond comprehension, and her protective instincts are in overdrive. She feels betrayed and COMPLETELY taken advantage of. As soon as her pups are well enough, she will leave the pack.

Adder is Oakmask's daughter, and the first wolf in the pack who has drank the ichor.
She is the heir to the Pinewood and is unsure of her place, but receiving mentorship from her grandmother is helping her to understand the basics of pack leadership.
Adder is hunting by herself to gain strength after the changes made by the ichor, and to help further her abilities for when she takes over from Stone. She's been independently developing her own set of rules for when the next generation is born into the pack, something Stone doesn't know about.
Although Stone's rules are well intentioned, they are severely limiting for the pack, when Adder takes over she wants the next leader to have a better start then she will.

~*Kane*~

Kane was extremely unhappy in the pack, and briefly left for a while before coming home. He said nothing upon his return, just carried on as usual.
Although being an unusually low energy wolf, Kane is a fantastic hunter. He seems to always excel in his hunting party, and is encouraging to his hunting mates. He is very supportive of his sister Adder, and tries to fit in time to share a meal with her in-between her intense training sessions, which she appreciates.
Kane is content with his role, and tries to provide for the pack when he can, but there are days he just feels he needs to rest, which the pack don't seem to mind

Star was adopted by Oakmask and her ex pairing Moonlight. She was found as a very sick and tiny puppy near the bank of a river. Stone does not consider Star a member of the alpha line due to the adoption, which Oakmask is severely opposed to. Star views Oakmask as her mother, and Oakmask views Star as her daughter.
Star tries to be as helpful as she possibly can, and is adored by her siblings. She is often found repairing dens and offering breaks for pupsitters when she's back from hunts.
She would make an excellent leader, but she is purely content with her life as it is, and feels like leadership would be far too overwhelming for her.
Oakmask is very proud of how she has grown from the tiny puppy she took in.

Honeysap was one of the original wolves that joined the pack as a NBW. It was in the Pinewood she met Ghost, her life pairing. Together they had 5 beautiful pups, they ran a hunting party together for a while and provided the pack with many bountiful meals. However eventually they left the pack to start their own families. Honeysap has always had a soft spot for pups, so she kept to a pupsitting role to provide the pack with pup care. After Ghost died, Honeysap wasn't sure what to do with herself, she felt completely alone… she met a wolf many years later who she had 2 pups with outside the pack. Bone and Fallen leaves are their names, she loves them dearly, however Bone was given to the enclave bear, in her older age she could only care for one of her pups, she's heartbroken over the decision l, but with how the pack is right now, she knows it's for the best.
She was also a part of the council to support the other wolves in making decisions on the rules. As an older wolf who has been in the Pinewood since the beginning she has a lot of experience to offer.

River is the Pinewoods herbalist, she is extensively knowledgeable and reliable. She has been with the pack since the very beginning and has learned the way of the herbalist on her own, with the help of herbert the bear.
She has since trained Berry to be the successor herbalist, and is now not feeling so much pressure anymore.
When Flames and Bass were taken from Sand, she felt she saw a side of this pack she never wanted to see again, it frightened her, and it made her certain she never wanted to leave a pup in this pack again. Sand and River have a pact to leave as soon as the other pups have grown up. They will always know what happened to their siblings.

Alder is the current alpha male of the Pinewood wolves, and mate to Stone. He has consistently supported Stone throughout her rein, until the disbandment. He was distant when the pack started to leave their pups with other packs, and became more so when Stone started making demands.
He was the one that suggested disbandment of the original pack, and provided a healthy solution to the issues the pack was facing. Although Stone is struggling with the disbandment, Alder is coming back to himself and trying to become supportive again.

Berry's parents are Crow and Eagle. Her siblings grew up and moved on to other packs, but she stayed behind choosing to study the route of the herbalist. Berry really got along with the packs herbalist River, and studied alongside her as an apprentice.

Wisp was conceived by Cedar and Mountain-peak. She was affected deeply by their explosive relationship. She cares for them deeply, but prefers the company of other wolves.

Mountain-peak came to the PInewood wolves during a very important time in her life, she had lived in the mountains alone for several months and was struggling to survive. She was found barely alive by Cedar, who in the following weeks would find her a place in the pack, and a place in her heart. The two were very quick to begin a relationship, but Mountain-peak soon found out that Cedar has only began this as a way of continuing the alpha line.
She has held a grudge against Cedar and the alpha family ever since, but is absolutely besotted with her daughter Wisp. She would do anything for her... even if it meant making her the alpha
