Past Photo Favorites - American Crows exploring and being curious in the Santa Fe River during a rare water flow on October 27, 2022. The crow’s curiosity is a natural result part of their intelligence. In the top photo it looks like the crow is using a twig as a tool. In the bottom left photo the crow is using its beak to check out something; much like we would use our fingers. In the last photo the crows are exploring; keep in mind that the water is a relatively rare phenomenon for them as the water only flows when the reservoirs up on the side of the mountains become full or water is released for some reason.
