i love pretty much anything with the trawler cabin kids in kamp koral. I do have to say cabin of curiosities, scaredy squirrel, and cretins of the night are my three favorite. Cretins of the night especially for the silly vampire shenanigans. I also like seeing anything Nosferatu related, his dorky teenage son is funny idc what anyone says!!!!!

As for the patrick star show, is it safe to admit I find their halloween episodes kinda boring? The show does morbid humor well but their halloween specials are so meh for some reason, I think its because the star family on their own aren't interesting enough for me. To have a whole special centered around them tends to be dull and drags out.

I am however biased towards terror at 20,000 leagues because it has Slappy in that Carmen Miranda costume. You have no idea how insane I was when the trailer for that episode came out 4 years back. Bless whoever thought of putting him in a crop top tehehe. I also like how this special is split into segments that focus on different characters. Dodges the usual Star Family curse imo.

I also like The Haunting of Flim Flam House. I think this episode exemplifies what I mean by The Patrick Star Show does morbid humor really well. Its also not solely focused on the Star Family so you get more interesting interactions. I loooove how the episode shows that Grandpat regularly dies and Bunny Star often has to hunt down his spirit and force it back into his body before it rots <3 absolutely disgusting. Give me more of that💞💞💞💞

This episode isn't necessarily a halloween special but its a spooky episode so it counts. Its absolutely a feast for the eyes and if you haven't seen it already then I highly recommend checking it out.

I almost forgot!!! My favorite spooky Patrick Star Show episode solely because of Slappy:: Family Plotz! I said before that I don't really care for episodes focused only on the Star Family and I don't lol this is just them mistakening the cemetery for a regular park and causing havoc. What I really care about is mortician Slappy. He might have a few small scenes but I am incredibly charmed by them and I think this episode is worth watching around Halloween. I actually feel like they fumbled the air date back when this episode premiered. This should have been a halloween episode but oh well. I liked it.

I'm mostly biased because I love when they give more direct Lorre references in Slappy. (Lorre playing an undertaker in Comedy of Terrors) Him working as a mortician is a perfect job actually and I like it more than him being a vampire's servant (but I'm not complaining, let him get that bag anyhow)

Me too!! I didnt initially catch it actually. I was wondering what was the odd spellings in the credits of "Patriiiiick" and "sandyyyy". It was only until someone on twitter pointed out that it was a reference to that Blink 182 Spongebob parody song.

I think this joke can be attributed to the younger people working on spongebob now. Normally I'd hate modernish pop references and things of that nature but this one feels subtle enough to be charming 10/10

I know this fact well. It's actually an older fact from when the show was in it's early days. I imagine this ratio is now higher (because the classic seasons still have a strong following)

On this note, it does remind me something a tumblr user said about when the show was new, the only place you could really get merch of it was from Hot Topic because it had a sizable adult fanbase at the time. Idk how true that was because I either didn't exist yet/just born but I think that's neat. Our boy sponge Robert has come so far! He appeals to young and old and has the staying power of a cockroach in the nuclear fallout but more cute obviously.

He's just a little guy <33 also I just love the squidferatu color palette. The pale yellow and grey-blues and muted browns look so good on sponge! Wish they'd use it again some time <3

You know what? I'll take it. The fact that kreepy krab premiered 3 days before my birthday really makes it feel like it was made especially for meeeee <3

I mean come on! My two bestest boys interacting and being friends? Spongebob calling Slappy his friend and helping him despite Slaps creepy antics?? I think I went to heaven <333

Tbh I feel that way about both Slappy episodes. I never in a million years thought Slappy was going to get a focused episode but he did! Slappy Daze! I remember writing in my diary ideas to write a fanon slappy episode which was basically a day in his life cuz that's all I wanted <3 I thought it would only be a fantasy but it happened! Also funny fact: I wrote in my diary that he strips cuz I thought that was funny. So crazy fucking thing he actually does in Slappy Daze. Idk what is out there reading my diary but,,, thank you lmaoo

As for Kreepy Krab specifically. I remember years back @/indieowl sent an ask about what if Slappy worked at the Krusty Krab. I thought it was a funny idea. This was back when Slappy only had 5 minutes of content total so I was really workinf with scraps glued together by what information I gathered from other Peter Lorre movies and caricatures. I ended up drawing my ideas and posting it here too.

I'm soooo surprised that its an actual episode now. There's no way someone isn't reading this blog and jotting ideas down for the show!! I'm kidding but the coincidence is funny.

I'm over the moon happy that Slappy got another focused episode. I was weary because whenever he's in the spotlight in the main show he gets dragged pretty hard and though I know that's inevitable. Slappy is my comfort character so its a bit disheartening to see. But hey, the hate is worth it if I get a full episode of seeing and hearing Slappy for 11 minutes straight. So what if a joyless spongetuber dogs on him? I'm getting to see my boy and I couldn't be happier! <33

I do have some gripes about when Slappy appears in the main show though. For a Peter Lorre fish, they Renfield him pretty hard. I mean I love Renfield. He was a fave of mine years before Slappy was even conceived as a character, but I'm not really a fan of Peter Lorre caricatures being sniveling little minions and servants. That's not Peter Lorre, that's Igor >:( but I just love Slappy so much that I do accept his Renfield traits (bug eating and vampire worship and the likes). But I do wish the main show got more creative with him. I find The Patrick Star Show Slappy to be better rounded as a character. He has better horror references and better visual gags, he has a life outside of Nosferatu and interests and flaws that do subtly reference characters Peter Lorre has played. I know the two shows have different sets of writers but I feel like the main show Slappy often is missing something which is something I feel when watching Kreepy Krab. TPSS Slappy is a genuine menace to society and a proper Peter Lorre caricature, SBSP Slappy is a much sweeter and dumber Renfield with classic monster movie references here and there. I like em both though. They both have their uses :>

Ya know with Kreepy Krab being out, I can finally talk about Slappy's dependency issues! :D I know he's a Renfield but he seems obsessed with Nosferatu by his own free (unlike the actual Renfield) like he needs to serve anyone be useful to anyone and doesn't see a reason worth living if he can't. It's just Nos is the one who takes him in. I hsve thoughts about that but right now its 2am and I am too sleepy to really explain my thoughts and remember my headcanons from like 2.5 years ago. Some other time!

Sorry for rambling I just can't help myself tehehe I just love Slappy sooooo much I think I'll die from it <33
