Questions from a Bartender
(Poem by Squirrel)
Why is it that some people can pour their hearts out
And make a concoction of everything they can give.
Why is it that when they bare their soul to another
That person won’t even take a sip.
Drink after drink that person shall create
Not knowing what type they like.
Rejection of everything, but despite it all
You still must be wary of the spike.
So why is it that someone can do everything for a drop of love
But a lover can spit it in their face.
Why is it that humans walk through these door,
And walk back out as broken as the glass they drink from.
