im flattered you think i have the answers to this LOL i genuinely have no idea . i can tell you my guess though in terms of how i like to write them ! 1. he wanted to remake the world in his image, and saw chalice as the only mortal worthy of that salvation. he detested how she was treated because he saw himself in her, and when she didnt want to be "saved" (aka hey man please dont kill everyone i know and love), he let her die with them 2. i believe they'd blame chalice for "failing to save them" -- thousands of years will undoubtably warp one's logical sense and perception, along with the fact that the calix were pretentious and self-important assholes to begin with 3. quadratus prophecy or something idunno. golden child with a divine heart? a lot of motifs in-game to do with her heart and angels. probably something like that i dont think she failed. she did defeat the devil. just.... like.... thousands of years later after everyone else died and she started following some random kids around that were probably her 57th cousins
