Hot Topic/Boxlunch Sonic Top Set

My close friend @tweedsims and I are huge Sonic fans. Over the years, the lack of Sonic-focused CC that goes beyond default renders on tees has proven frustrating. (This does, by the way, count as an open invitation to send me good Sonic CC you find anywhere at any time! Yes!)

Well, you know who makes CC now? I do! And she is a huge Hot Topic junkie, as well as an American brand called Boxlunch I wasn't previously familiar with, so we put our heads together and decided to share this CC set with you all. And maybe... just maybe... I went a little bit wild with the swatch count. And then I tacked on a long sleeve as a little bonus!

(I might do a collection of Cropp/House tops next, as that's where I prefer to shop a lot of the time. Once I get better at mesh edits, I am definitely going to be making a set inspired by some of their funkier clothes over the years because they are just so fun!)

As a double bonus, I've also added in a bundle of medium-res tee designs that I think would work *amazing* on buttons for a bag or jacket (breast pocket pins! just me?) or as stickers/posters for walls! I've isolated them myself from photos of tees, so the quality is decent but not perfect. Please tag me if you do use these, I want to know!

Wetsuits, wetsuits everywhere!

We're here! We've made it! My very own first-ever frankenmesh!!

Did you know that leggings tend not to have meshes at all? It blew my mind! I hand-repainted some swimsuit tops to react the waist and connect with the leggings, then meshed on a skirt! Sounds easy, right? Well, it involved a LOT of bumps and bruises along the way as I learn the new programs involved and don't have a middle mouse button (Blender has a secret option that allows you to use alt + left mouse, fun fact!). Also! Thank heavens for the coolors palette generator, it made finding contrast and highlight colors such a breeze.

Modeled by both Lonnie AND Winnie, because I accidentally made the brown swatches almost the same exact color as Lonnie's skin. Whoops?

While they are based on Seasons swimsuits, I'm fairly confident that the skirtless suits are all BGC. The skirted suits are brand new meshes and therefore BGC by nature.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I'd made the sleeveless skirted one an addon to the sleeved one. If anyone knows what's up, I'd love a comment or a message with a hint!

When I finished yesterday's kit and went to bed, I couldn't fall asleep for the longest time because I kept being haunted by one thought: "You know your Eternity Code scrolling code design? Wouldn't it look good on a saree?" And wouldn't you know it? Holiday Celebrations comes with a Diwali set.

I don't think I've ever seen a sci-fi CC set for Indian clothing before, either.

Well, one thing led to another, and I of course had to make a matching kurta, and one for kids, and then a kiddo sweater for good measure! And then I accidentally removed the code filter from the sweater and it looked so fun I made it a swatch, too.

I should probably start using some consistent palettes like other simmers, but I haven't the faintest where to start looking. Maybe I develop some of my own?

Hey, remember Chick Tracts? Remember randomly finding a short comic pamphlet in your Halloween candy, in a church bathroom on the toilet paper dispenser, left strewn about in various waiting rooms? Starting to read and rapidly becoming either scared for the future of Christianity or horrified at the level of propaganda being handed out to little kids? No? Just us growing up in the American South?

One of the more benign ones started doing the rounds online (under the cut) a while ago, and one conversation led to another led to me putting up versions of the tee shirts worn within for sale on humans. Why not let the Sims have a turn? (Bonus swatch: New World Order logo from the most famous Tract)

Two dresses inspired by the third book in the franchise, available of course each in red AND blue for international readers. If you zoom in right up to the dresses, you might be able to guess what the text is from!

Both are BG recolors, enabled for both body types BUT based on meshes optimized for the feminine body type.

Wow, this was my first recolor this complex! It's not very much in the grand scheme of things, but I think I did a pretty good job.

Tee shirt collection! Artemis Fowl, the Owl House, Ducktales

On my journey to learning how to Sim, I've uploaded a few simple tee shirt retextures + a bonus sweater.

All graphics are designed by me and also available for purchase IRL on my Redbubble, linked in the title. I'm still figuring everything out, so my style of graphics absolutely WILL change time and time again.

The designs from the shirts are references to Artemis Fowl, the Owl House, and Ducktales 2017.

The text bar on her chest displayed one word in block capitals. It was the same word that she had shouted just as the hydrogel had frozen the text display: “D’Arvit,” swore Holly under her breath, which coincidentally was the same word frozen on her chest.
