In 3 hours I'll be getting up to go to the airport. Kind of crazy, I was thinking about this. My mom had to leave in the middle of the night to come here on the Mariel Lift. We're leaving in the middle of the night to go back. Coincidence yes but interesting. Haven't had time to stop and think in the last two weeks. Now I'm sitting here thinking about it all. This is crazy for me, like I really never saw myself going to Cuba at all ever, let alone meet my grandpa. It has always been a thought since I was a kid of going and I didn't even acknowledge that until right now. I hope it all goes well. I can only imagine what my mom is going through in her head. Unless I manage to get on the internet there this will be my last post until I return. Be back in 8 days!

Leaving for the airport 2 a.m. on Thursday. Gr8. And tonight won't even be a good nights rest. Gotta pack and shit. Wonderful. Excited doe.

nbd. Think I'll starting packing sometime this week. Literally can't believe I'm going.
