        “take off the damn ring.” mac wishes she could be even a little bit less blunt-- but she’s staring right at the thing, catching in the light across from her, and it’s all that she can think about. bruno, still being tied to someone else. bruno, bruno who so often feels like he brings along something real, still clinging to a failing marriage. she looks up at him with what’s a mix of embarrassment and stubbornness in her eyes, her jaw setting. “we’re on a date and it’s all i can see.”

      sveta was casually lounging in her bed when she was notified that mike was pulling into her property. grabbing her long silk robe, she loosely tied it, allowing the fabric to hang from her shoulders before making her way down her grand staircase. the brunette reached for her front door and smirked upon seeing her old lover. turning on her heel, she sighed waving him in. ❝ come in, no need in you standing there undressing me with those gorgeous eyes of yours. ❞

           A HAND COMES to wipe tear stained cheeks, still in the white dress that should’ve reminisced an evening a careless laughters and a once in a blue moon good time, instead served as flag for surrender. the light tap on the window pulls jordyn from the relapse of prior events, quietly sliding open the opaque window hardly acknowledging the familiar face as her gaze drops to the floor. “ i — ” voice breaks as the first tear creates the tiny puddle on the cold tiles, fingers covering her chapped lips to mutter the soft sob. “ i didn’t know what to do. i’m so sorry. ”

            it’s evident in her demeanor that she’s a wreck, hair askew, eye swollen with that tint of red that only comes from fresh tears. out of breath from the pace at which she ran up the stairs, she brings an enclosed fist to the wooden barrier, knocking with enough force that should surely make her presence known all throughout the establishment. she doesn’t know what to expect, but she highly doubts her night could get any worse than it already is. josie turned around and leaned her back against the door as if she had already forgotten that she had knocked. however, her memory of that was soon restored when she found herself stumbling backwards into his apartment as the door suddenly was opened from behind her, falling to the floor with a heavy thud. cue a loud drunken hiccup. “ow.” / @ctrliing
