Little Fairy by Christian Spinelli
If anyone’s wondering yes I am fiercely into worldbuilding, though I guess I should write it down more for others. Here are just a few things, I’ll be adding more as I think of them. They don’t really draw from anime/manga/game canon so much as my own ideas.
Hoenn
A long, looong time ago Hoenn didn’t exist, until Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were said to create it. That is the legend humans tell each other, but for pokemon the land is actually formed by an ancient mega camerupt. This mega camerupt was enormous, and Mt. Chimney was its hump. The camerupt wandered the ocean for years until it settled down in the water and fell into a deep sleep, allowing life to form on its body as it became the land.
Camerupt
Despite being native to Hoenn, camerupt are not a common species. There are different types of them that all live in the upperlefthand part of Hoenn. There are volcanic ones that dislike humans, desert camerupt that hide in the sand, and plains camerupt that are the ones humans often catch. Camerupt live in herds of up to fifty individuals, with one reining bull or cow. Camerupt have an extensive language of their own, and dialects for each region. Though they are seen as dull until provoked, camerupt can be highly intelligent. They have complex rituals such as beading their fur or crating jewelry, and have been known to bury their dead or perform rituals.
Mt. Chimney
All camerupt and numel have an instinctual reverence for Mt. Chimeny, and a Magma Guardian is appointed to meep the volcano in good health. Only a mega camerupt is allowed to tend to the core, and often only from volcanic herd. Said mega camerupt leaves its herd to live in the deepest part of Mt. Chimeny, withstanding the intense pressure and communicating with the core daily. They seem to reach spiritual enlightenment as Magma Guardians cease needing to eat, instead staying in deep meditative trances that can last years.
Sharpedo
Despite being able to thrive from Hoenn’s tropical water to its lakes and rivers, there is very little known about sharpedo other than they are bullies of the sea and vicious. Most of this information is very untrue, and sharpedo, while territorial, do not go out of their way to attack others. As carvanha they are often in packs, but when they evolve they are usually alone except during a feeding frenzy. They have a interesting form of communication that involves freezing nevermeltice into teeth, and create jewelry out of bones that are revered like war bonnets.
