Sure Price kills Makarov, a win yay, but we know what happens to dead terrorists. They become martyrs. Makarov will live on as a inspirational figure for Russian and other Eastern block nationalistic radicals. Makarov's lackeys will continue his work, whatever his business in Dubai was. Price won't be there to stop them.

Doesnt matter if it's been sanctioned or if Price went rogue(which I believe he did). The Dubai op will be covered up regardless. If Price doesn't die on the atrium due to his injuries he will be executed for murder/terrorism in the Emirates. If he were extradited to the UK (very unlikely) he would get dishonorably discharged and court martialed and locked up for life. Back home he'd be a dangerous liability. They'd write him off as insane and wash their hands of him either way.

One of the main drives for Price and Soap was that the truth had to come out, the truth about Shepherd, about his ties to Makarov, maybe they even wanted to spill the beans on everything that's been going on back in 2011 with the first aborted missle launch. it was important to Soap. to let his men's families know how and why they died, and he was frustrated by the red tape, the fact he couldn't. But it won't happen.

The public won't know who really killed Makarov. Yuri will be depicted a sole perpetrator in the media for the sake of public relations, and that would be the easiest route for both govs to take since he's dead and an (ex)ultranationalist with very close ties to Makarov. Could be easily played off as internal power struggles within the group.

Two months ago, Minneapolis rose up against police crimes in the aftermath of the police murder of George Floyd.  Now the system is seeking to reassert itself and bring down political repression to silence the uprising. 

NYC Parks Department tries to shut down May Day

New York, NY - On April 26, at 1 p.m., people gathered outside the New York City's Parks and Recreation Department (NYCPRD) building to hold a press conference and protest the NYCPRD's decision to move the annual International Workers Day protest to the North End of Union Square Park.

May Day has been held at South Side (off 14th Street) of Union Square Park for the past century. The decision to grant the permit for the park three blocks north of the historic location is a blatant move to throw off May Day protesters who plan to attend the rally.

Organizers for May Day at Union Square submitted a permit over three months ago, and the NYCPRD, along with NYPD, have been giving the organizers the runaround. Finally, after hemming and hawing, they granted a permit a few days ago. They tried to excuse their decision by saying that construction would get in the way of the rally. Organizers went to visit the location, and it shows no signs of construction.

Sara Flounders, with the International Action Center, said, “This denial is a clear violation of the constitutional right to assemble in public places. In the age of Trump, such arbitrary abuse of bureaucratic authority should be challenged. It is part of the climate of raids, round-ups and growing police repression and militarization."

Michela Martinazzi spoke on behalf of the Committee to Stop FBI Repression NY. In her statement she said, "The parks department's attempt to shut down May Day is an act of political repression. But, we won't let them shut down May Day, because it's a celebration of the struggles we've all waged in this past year. So we will be there celebrating, militantly rallying and ready to march."
