Red is surprised Mask doesn't know what the Minish or the Picori festival are since they're so important in his time. Sure, Mask is a kid, but a kid raised in the forest and no clue about the little race usually only seen by children?
Then again, Red doesn't know what exactly the kokiri are, so they're even.

Getting lost in the Lost Woods is a terrible fate waiting to happen. Luckily for them, Mask isn't really lost, but Red sure is! Not that Mask tells him that, of course. Poor Red. At least he's unaware of a potential future as a stalfos were he alone in there. That's for Mask to know and Red to never find out.
Used to traveling with others, Red figured they would share their stuff as they needed it. That kind of thing isn't really how it's done for Mask though. Only thing he can usually get for free is an empty bottle or a cuccoo egg, at most.
