Anyway behold the thorn men! What appear to be hostile plant life are actually an assortment of various flora under the control of a strange and hostile fungus. The fungus controls the plants with one goal in mind. Get meat.
A single thorn man can set off an infestation so dire that rumors of them have caused villages to set fire to entire forests to purge them of the threat. When a population of thorn men becomes too large, they begin to stockpile meat in what some refer to as a “thorn fort”. Rot and decay in time gives way to a Thorn King, an amalgamation of plant, fungus, and meat.
