We’re still alive! Mostly....hard to tell after those last couple of episodes.

Here we go! - Mod Rose

Everyone who knows Pearl knows her favorite dances are the elegant and graceful ones. Ballet, waltz, anything where she can refine her movements and show off a little. You share the same passion, however your style isn’t limited to that of ballroom and grace and you’ll often lead Pearl in learning new dances, some being a slight reach out of her comfort zone. Somehow you know Amethyst would be proud. 

Pearl knows the importance of coordination when it comes to partner dancing, that’s why she always makes sure there’s something matching with your outfits when preforming, even if its just for the other Crystal Gems. A crown of flowers, similar outfits or color schemes, or just a pair of two excited smiles. 

Pearl is BIG into musicals. The theatrics, the thought put into every word and movement. She watches and sings along to the music. Somehow, she seems to know the choreography almost immediately, happily teaching you what she picked up so you can dance together.

Of course, it doesn’t always need to be something extravagant. Some days everything weighs a little too much, secrets of the universe and the troubles that follow are too much to bear on her own. Sometimes its good to dance slow, arms wrapped around Pearl’s frame in a gentle and safe embrace, swaying back and forth to an imaginary sound until all is well again. 

For human S/O: Although it’s nearly impossible for a gem to fuse with a human (there is of course being the exception of Steven), you feel as though you could fuse with Pearl all along. No, not in a physical amalgamation of your forms, but in the way your hearts connect when you’re together. It’s not just the movement of your bodies that have synchronized, but something more. Deep down you know what you feel is something special; something warm, safe, and freeing.

Woke up late, sore legs, missed breakfast entirely, barely rushed into your crummy 9-to-5 job at a fast food joint only to get yelled at anyway by a customer with outdated coupons, missing breakfast gave your a massive hunger headache and your coworkers today were the “team B” as you liked to call them (the “unsavory ones”, if you will) so you had to do basically everything in an already difficult job. On the way home you saw roadkill and lost it, sobbing in your car. 

Your girlfriend lived with you and saw you crying immediately as you walked in. She approached you to hold you and you basically jumped on her. Rubbing her hand on your back as she held you up by your bottom and thighs, she asked “Hey what’s wrong, what happened?” in a soft voice you barely heard. You recalled your day through sobs and she nodded attentively, making sure you knew she was listening. You heard the faucet turn on as she took a glass from the cabinet, filling it with water and kissing your forehead. After handing you the glass, the faucet was turned off and she walked over to the couch and gently sat you down. 

“How’s about I cook you some dinner, you turn on those cartoons you like, and you just relax?” Bismuth smiled, a smile so soft it made you forget she can’t cook. “Yeah.. sounds nice.” you replied, leaning into another kiss, this time on your cheek. 

You heard her messing around in the kitchen, a box getting torn open and the oven opening, and a timer getting cranked, you rose a brow at the noises but tried focusing on Bob’s Burgers instead. She came back and sat next to you on the couch, after about an hour the timer went off and she got up to get.. whatever she made out of the oven. “Dinner’s done, how much you want?” she asked loudly, “what is it?” you answered with a question, “it’s white noodles you kept in the freezer.” she replied. Your face contorted in confusion as you got up and walked into the kitchen and- oh. She cooked the pre-made alfredo. You must’ve forgotten you stashed it in the freezer who knows how long ago. And it smelled good. 

She smiled nervously, “Is it ok? Pearl told me to match the over and the timer with what I see on the boxes, so.. Hope it’s alright.” you nodded and hugged her around her waist, kissing her on the shoulder, then proceeded to get two bowls for the two of you. You both sat back down on the couch and watched Bob’s Burgers some more, laughing and informing Bismuth about what they were doing in the show. She’d make cute remarks about how fun those things looked and how she’d want to do them with you. You smiled at how much she loved learning about new things and got on your knees, leaned over and kissed her gently, feeling her hands cup your face. When you pulled away she was smiling and her cheeks were flushed a bit, darkening her slate grey skin.

Bismuth:

She’s okay with you doing whatever makes you happy

Bismuth would make the ring she gives you herself in the forge, just to make sure it’s special 

If you wanted her to be in a tux, she’d pick a classic black one and have her hair tied back in a ponytail. The wrist cuffs would be star-shaped. 

If you wanted her in a dress, she’d pick a sleeveless and “sleek” dress (something like this) and leave her dreads either loose or have them in a bun.

There’s lots of silly little “rituals”you two do (like the one where the people to be married can’t see each other until the ceremony or it’s bad luck) and running around trying to abide by those rituals is a lot of fun

You’d notice her demeanor would change at the ceremony and she’d be much calmer overall, as if she was at peace knowing she was going to marry you. 

When she goes to kiss you at the altar, she cups your cheeks in her hands and leans down to do it. She rests her forehead on yours for a bit after the kiss ends and strokes your cheek with her thumb. 

You practically go airborne when she goes to carry you down the aisle, there’s lots of little kisses on your forehead and cheeks as she carries you.

The party after the ceremony consists of lots of dancing, some karaoke and obligatory awkward parent/friend/family speeches. Garnet’s speech was the only one with good advice/substance to it and you can tell she thought it through. 

Jasper:

She seems to want a more traditional “structured” wedding, which you don’t mind all that much

You noticed a pink diamond was the center stone in the ring she gave you

If you asked her to wear a tux, she’d wear a deep wine red one with an orange colored vest underneath  and the buttons/wrist cuffs would be gold. She’d braid her hair back and pin the braid in a bun. 

If you asked her to wear a dress she’d wear something asymmetrical but still classy (something like this) and would leave her hair down but would brush it, curl it and have it draped over one of her shoulders

She would be a bit of a control freak during preparation because she wants it to be perfect for you

Similar to Bismuth, she’d follow the classic wedding “rituals” but she’d take them more seriously, worried that they’d ruin your wedding, somehow 

During her vows, you noticed she called you “my diamond” more than once in a very sweet and easy tone

She picks you up to kiss you, and merely flips you in her arms to carry you like royalty down the aisle, a huge smile beaming on her face

When it’s time for the party afterwards, during everyone’s bad speeches she sits you on her lap, wraps her arms around you and nuzzles her face into your neck, you can feel her gem poking into you 

12. You can’t die. Please don’t die We’ve been getting a ton Jasper requests lately, so I’m gonna start off with a little angst. :’D

“Hey, open your eyes!” a voice calls for you, its tone wavering. It sounds distant, faded, almost as if it were coming from another room.Although your mind feels hazy, you can somewhat recall what happened.

It was an attack by corrupted gems, a couple of them had swarmed Beach city while Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were away. Despite being reassured everything would be okay by Steven, you knew something was wrong when even Jasper was having a difficult time fending off the attackers.

Although you had stayed a safe distance away from the fight, somehow the creatures managed to get near you and suddenly things were spinning. Your head ached as a warm feeling moved down your face. There was more screaming around you and a loud “POOF” noise. 

Ahh, they must have won. A second and third noise quickly followed and then the screaming stopped. You closed your eyes and breathed a sigh of relief, at least it was over. 

You didn’t know how much time passed before you were lifted from the sand, strong arms holding onto you and bringing you close. “Come on, wake up!” the voice called, shaking you softly.“Jasper wait, you’ll hurt them!” another voice calls.

You open your eyes slowly and look up, giving a weak smile to the gem above you. “H-hey, you did great today,” you say softly, wincing at a sharp pain in your forehead. 

“Shut up! Save your strength,” she says, holding you closer. You smile again and lean up, using the rest of your energy to kiss her cheek. “It’s okay Jasper....I’m okay,” you whisper, your eyes falling shut again.

There’s more noise around you but you can’t focus. Your head spins even with your loss of consciousness. The last thing you remember is the faded sound of Jasper’s voice as you slip away.

The bathroom was still warm and humid after your bath; a fresh towel wrapped atop your head. It had been awhile since you had some alone time to just relax like this, listening to Disney songs from the bathroom radio while you sat in a fortress of bubbles.

You were just finishing drying yourself off when the song changed and the first new notes began to play. Staring into the hazy mirror, you knew there was no way you could let this moment pass. With a childish grin painted across your face, you grabbed a hairbrush and began to sing along with the tune.

In that moment, you were no longer in a steamy post-wash bathroom. Oh no, now you were Queen Elsa as she ascended the mountainside and belted her feelings into the icy air. You danced and twirled and when the final bridge came, you let your towel fall from your head and tossed it aside much like the animated character did with her own hair. 

Shamelessly you let your voice ring out as the song nears a close. It was only when you began singing how “this perfect girl was gone” that you noticed a figure standing in the ajar doorway. In that split second, you lose your balance on the slippery bathroom floor and fall straight onto your back, gazing up with a horrified and beet red expression. 

“ROSE!” you practically yell, staring up at the large woman towering before you. “Aw, don’t stop,” her voice laughed as she reached down and helped you up. “H-how long have you been standing there?” you ask shyly, biting your lip as you set the hairbrush down on the counter. “Oh, about halfway through. It was quite a show,” she says, kissing your forehead sweetly.
