Oh NOOOOO!!!!

This one is new to me. Here's what they say about it: "The phooka, rooted in Irish and Scottish folklore, is a shape-shifting creature with glowing eyes. Known for its mischievous and unpredictable nature, it sometimes helps or terrifies humans. Though feared, it isn’t always malevolent, embodying both chaos and wisdom, and reflecting the complex relationship between humans and the supernatural."

This illustration was described as coming from an unknown magazine in 1940. Artist is Edd Cartier. I think it's interesting. I wonder if there is a story associated with it.

I had to do a double take when I saw this, too!

Here is a silly cartoon, cryptid related. No idea where it came from. At least it's lightweight for a very hot day with heavy humidity! Keep cool!

Welcome to Medusa week, my friends! She's certainly a different topic for our page. We'll start with a lovely portrait of Medusa/the Gorgon by artist Darrel Bevin. I'm convinced he can make anyone look good!!

I wanted to share this beautiful painting with you. It's called "Abide With Me" by Clare Allan. I was studying it for a moment, and I couldn't help but think, this is a perfect setting for something cryptid- related happening.
