He takes a deep breath as he allows his gaze to flicker up to his lover’s face. Hannibal wore a pleasantly blank expression until he looked down at Will and his eyes shimmered with mirth. Will stops them in the hallway, only steps away from their box, to pull Hannibal into a chaste kiss that leaves the other man surprised.

Will shrugs at Hannibal’s questioning gaze. “I just really like you.”

Hannibal laughs. “I like you too, mylimasis.”

Summary:

Will Graham was not a pleasant man. He was rude, petty, and dismissive. Having a conversation with him was infuriating at best and unsettling at worst. He was very aware of who he was and made every move possible to get himself out of any events that would require him to be in any way social. Although dating a man like Hannibal Lecter, Will has found himself with a problem.

“I apologize for intruding on you so late, dear Will.” he lowers his gaze to his lap. “I find myself at an impasse, you see.” he lifts his gaze to find Wills, danger lurking there, despite the unassuming smile.

Will shrugs off his jacket. “An impasse.” he echoes, his heart skipping a beat.

“Yes.” He does not elaborate and allows Will to get comfortable first.

Summary:

Unlike the stories, Will knew his grand-mère to be kind and compassionate. She was wicked smart and knew more about the living world than anyone he had ever known to exist. To him, not even the greatest minds said to have lived could compare to his grand-mère’s wisdom. She was the one who taught him to play chess, and since her death, he has found no one else who seems to even know the game. Not until he met Hannibal Lecter.
