The Mailman is unknown being of unknowm orgin, it only being created for one reason and one reason only: Send messages between the Patrons... and... people, of course. Though, to the Mailman this job is seen as almost a divine form of punishment rather than a blessing, cursed to forever walk the world as a immortal letter giver for Gods that could not care about it in the slightest. Their wish to give to the Patrons is for them to finally kill him, and rid of this eternal suffering that has been cursed onto him for eons. Immortality is a curse, not a blessing.
The Baron, owner of the Hotel "The Baroness", is a newer addition to the family buisness after the previous owner passed away from sudden and unknown circumstances. Now having to take up the pedestal he starts to only recently notice the stress and troubles his family struggled with when taking care of this place, and it only became worse when he was fully on his own.
