Sasuke had immediately left the Uchiha compound when he had heard the news. There were... many thoughts swirling through his head, and he really didn’t want to confront or be confronted by this other Uchiha, questions asked that he couldn’t answer.

Questions he had himself that now he suddenly couldn’t answer. His job, his whole point in existing now, had been so he could avenge his family and kill Itachi. He had been the only one left, so he was of course the only one who could do it. And now there was another Uchiha? Would Itachi still have meant that Sasuke was the one to kill him? It needed to be him. It needed to be Sasuke, otherwise, what purpose did he have in life now that everyone he loved was dead?

Having no idea how he got here, having no memory of where he was or what had come before all of this, Tobirama stood in the middle of an unknown place - a forest as sunlight shimmered down through the thick trees and in between leaves, dancing upon everything it touched. The light formed a beautiful pattern and yet, the child squinted his eyes, finding it blinding and irritating for his translucent red hues as they were sensitive. Sensitive due to the small boy’s albinism that made the sun’s rays harsh as if they were burning before even having done so. 

Unknown instincts kicked in and the small pale child wandered towards a direction that felt as if it was pulling him, beckoning him. And soon, the Senju felt a chakra, a knowledge that seemingly got fed by his mind without Tobirama asking for any information. A tension immediately appeared in the small shoulders at the feeling and something told him he needed to hide. However, hiding wouldn’t give him the answers he sought, only asking someone else would, because clearly, his mind wasn’t of any help as he didn’t even remember how he had gotten here.

Only Naruto would end up with some stranger in a dark forest... next to this small lake. He meant to go on a mission with Sakura, but when some shinobi from the hidden grass were after him, Sakura suddenly went the other way and the blond had to use all his speed just to end up tripping over a branch and fall face first into some bushes. This was almost typical for Naruto, how he had still managed to have them lose his tail was beyond him. Much more beyond him, why he suddenly couldn’t find his way out anymore and instead just remained at the lake he had found moments ago. Sakura would find him, he mused silently, especially when he was suddenly joined by a stranger.

She had not expectation that someone would be around here. She had come looking for flowers in order to try and get inspiration to draw better. And maybe see if she could destroy one of the training poles... But that was a latter thought; she wanted to get stronger to impress her family with using the Gentle Fist style. She wans’t supposed to train alone, but it wouldn’t hurt the training pole.

Not that it mattered now. The stranger was someone she had seen on TV once in pictures, and she could recognize him pretty easily. She wondered what he was doing here,a nd why he was alone. He looked... She wasn’t sure. Lonely came to mind, but she could be projecting. She could not imagine living here was easy.

     Seems he’s not the only Uchiha back from the dead. Or rather...back from what everyone assumed was death.

     Upon the war’s conclusion and Danzō’s...removal (which, as it turns out, he can partially thank his cousin for), Shisui found he really had no more excuses to keep himself hidden. Especially once Sasuke started rooting around and bringing certain village-sanctified massacres to light (another thing he can...well, maybe thank isn’t the right word, his cousin for). 

     But either way, for better or for worse, both Shisui and Obito are alive against the odds, and returned to Konoha. Something neither, he gets the feeling, ever suspected. Rather than one last living Uchiha, Konoha now finds itself with three. Two having spent a fair chunk of time as criminals, and the other just...vanished for nigh on a decade.

     He’s gone over his choices a thousand times in a thousand ways over his ten years of isolation: eyeless, doing what he could to keep his genetics from the wrong hands. Even Obito himself could have been such hands at one point, given his attempt to retrieve Kotoamatsukami from Danzō. At least the bastard did one good thing before taking the fall. But that’s all said and done.

     Once returned to the village and crafted new eyes by his childhood friend, Shisui finds himself...adjusting. He’d like to think he’s still the same. Still normal. But ten long years of isolation - let alone blindness - are certain to change a person. 

     Maybe he and Obito aren’t so different in that regard.

     Given Obito’s record compared to his own, it’s a little while before the two are allowed to cross paths while Konoha hashes out the elder’s punishment. And when they do...Shisui, for once, isn’t sure what to say. Here’s a man who had a hand in the near-extinction of their clan. And yet, if he’d told Itachi he was still alive...could he himself have helped avoid it in the first place?
