For once, the villain truly was minding her own business-- it was by mere chance that she happened to cross by the sight of a particularly large and messy pile of rubble. She wouldn’t have stopped to inspect the area had she not detected a particularly familiar scent.

“...?”

Stopping, Himiko paused to find a gruesome scene to match the smell she noticed-- a corpse, one whose misfortune was caused by a pile of rubble that was clearly still settling from its descent.

... Perhaps it was because the cafe was one of the few places the denizens of Spirale could come and experience a bit of familiar, social culture. Perhaps it was because it seemed like a safe haven among the dreary landscape of devastation. But as of late, it seems that the city was quickly filling up with all sorts of colorful characters, of which today’s appeared before the shallow steps to said cafe. 

“Hey.”

Sandalphon piped up, ceasing his sweeping as he glanced down at the one crouched amongst a large flock of crows, unamused, at best.

“You’re encouraging those dreadfully loud birds to stick around by feeding them. Cease such nonsense at once. And if you don’t intend on buying anything while loitering here you may as well just leave.”

What an odd world to be dropped into! No fight domes, no frantic goats, and he had not even seen ONE bush full of fruit the ENTIRE time he'd been there. And he wasn't hungry enough to start eating rats. As was normal, the mime had very, very little to his name. And, he hadn't been there quite so long, but this... city of spirals? Seemed... civilized.

He could barely draw lines between his years on the streets of France and the years he spent in the wilderness, but he knew full well that time was resources. Even if he didn't know what game he was playing, he planned to get ahead of it as soon as possible.
