Gon scrubs the back of his hand across his tear-streaked face and Killua’s heart gives a deep pang. “Th-Then lets make a promise,” Gon says, voice unsteady and hoarse.

“What?”

Gon lifts his eyes to glare at Killua. “A promise. Look--”

Gon grabs Killua’s hand, entwining their pinkies and lifting them into the air. He says loudly and clearly, “I promise to never, ever give up on you, Killua. As long as you want me, I’ll always be here for you. I won’t turn away when things get rough. I won’t leave. Not ever again.”

Killua’s eyes burn. Why is it that Gon has to make the promise sound like something out of a marriage vow? It’s beyond embarrassing and he knows his face is a brilliant shade of red.

And yet, Killua can’t find it within himself to protest. So he twists his hand in Gon’s, pressing their thumbs together.

“I promise the same,” he says quietly and Gon’s eyes shine. “I promise to never leave your side. I’ll be here for whatever comes next, Gon.”

“Sealed with a kiss?” 

Learned about a band called Meet Me @ The Altar that does pretty excellent pop punk! That and spending time with my dogs, which isn’t exactly new but they’re what get me through the days

Thought I’d post your replies to @murderxbaby‘s reply because I think you both brought up good points!

I agree that the lack of full context is frustrating, with the missing scene that is presumably both 1. Gon and Killua’s reunion after Gon was healed and 2. The probable apology that happened between the two. (I’ve seen people take Gon’s silly apology in their parting scene as The Actual Apology, but I really don’t think that’s the case--I’m sure there must have been a more serious discussion between the two, with how much such a scene was built up. Even with Togashi’s tendency for anti-climax, it still wouldn’t seem right for the only apology between the two to be that little joking bit. It was such an urgent, important topic for both characters that it would seriously surprise me if they didn’t talk about it when they were initially reunited after Gon was healed...)

I also agree the “You’re in second place line” may have been, at least in part, a way for Killua to distance himself from Gon a bit or help Killua justify his decision to leave Gon to himself. (And yes, Killua definitely needs to learn to make himself a priority.)

Oh myyy that’s a real hard one. There’s already so many cards on Greed Island!!!

I know there are some sort of witch’s pills collection on Greed Island, and a witch’s pill for motivation would be honestly really handy! Also maybe a helping pet for any situation but that’s because I’m weak and I want a cuddle buddy. 

Otherwise I really don’t know what one can create more I mean, what does this island Doesn’t have!  Everything on it is quite neat!
