heads up, seven up
Thanks @carolinawrenn for the tag – the last seven lines I wrote. I started this thing in the holidays, got about 1k in, and then realised I needed to start at a different place – so I cut all of it except for this bit, which turns out to be precisely 7 lines!
Kaz looked as if he’d slept for a couple of hours, maybe less. It gave a bad impression to people who didn’t know him very well. Mama had said, He looks like he got trapped in a cave for fifteen years. Inej hadn’t been much bothered by this, except the next time she’d had to explain that it was permanent. If Kaz was tired, he wasn’t acting it. There was the barest excited glint in his dark eyes, if you knew how to look. When Inej had asked where they were going, he’d simply said, “You’ll see,” and he’d been so pleased with himself that she hadn’t had the heart to press it.
Typically, I have since started writing up notes for something else which I can’t stop thinking about. But this one will happen eventually!
Sticking to my usual methods – if you want to do this, you can say I tagged you <3
