“You know usually when people commit a crime, they come to the club and tell me all their dirty little secrets.” Parker said quietly then bit her lip. “Ya know, there’s this thing that some dancers do, me, specifically, you gotta shimmy with the best of them yeah? yeah!” She nodded laughing a bit going to touch the person in front of her. “You have a nice chest, you should work with me--make some money off ya hot shot.” 

The loud, thundering music was oddly comforting as Imogen worked. It could be because she’d owned the place for so long, or because it reminded her of her uncle’s home. But, whatever it was, seemed to help her work. Despite the loudness of the music and the vibrations in the air, the woman could still easily hear the door to her office open. “Wrong room.” She said over her shoulder, figuring whatever drunk person that stumbled up the stairs to her office had been looking for a bathroom. When the door didn’t close, Imogen turned her chair and smiled at the person. “Can I help you?”

“You ever feel like your just walking in a daze? It’s like something is missing from my soul. I can’t even think straight, something is wrong.”

“You know, it’s not smart to follow strangers into the woods. I could be a dangerous serial killer luring you away from the crowd to prey on you.” Liam sneered, more amusement than not in his tone as he half-teased. “I don’t think Queenie is going to like it if too many people run off from the event.”

“Hey watch this!”

“Please tell me you have an idea for some kind of mischief? If I have to sit alone all night I might just go home.” Annie offered a soft chuckle to punctuate the sentence, hoping that whoever it was didn’t take offense and decide to spazz out on her instead.
