Poe's The Raven
You want to talk about Crowes? Tell me about Crowes! Who’s a romantic (doesn’t have to just be in romance)? Who’s a realist? What event shaped their beliefs? What’s they’re motivation or driving force? Anything!
I sobbed getting this thank you for feeding my sudden hyperfixation
Out of all of the Crowes, Alexanders probably the most romantic (and the best to approach for a semi-decent conversation, hint hint). He and Suha basically raised one another so Suha used to read all of the old fairy tales to Alexander in a bid to soothe him when he became worked up or upset. Due to this, he’s got that romantic personality; he encourages others (others being Suha), sees humour in lifes tragedies, and believes that everyone has some divine purpose for being. His views motivate him and cause him to act in ways that the others don’t always approve of.
The realist probably falls to Hypatia. She’s loyal to those who demonstrate loyalty to her, and those who betray can expect the full force of her punishment. She deals with issues in a quick and practical manner, and tends to be very independent when it comes to her work. That being said, her viewpoints tend to isolate her from others as she holds an unbiased view until all evidence comes to light. When she makes a judgement, she can’t be swayed from it, which can be a good or a bad thing depending.
A lot of events shaped their beliefs, honestly. Hypatia and Markos lived before The Rapture so they witnessed the downfall and the aftermath of that, which greatly shaped them. Markos’ personal experiences in war and dealing with his father also strongly shaped his personality to what it is, and when he came to Attollo, these changes only continued to happen. The strongest event for Alexander was probably his abduction by Ovo; it broke him from his innocence, in a sense, and exposed him to the brutality of the city. It greatly changed his personality and caused him to mature a lot faster than expected, turning him to the person he is now.
I can’t divulge motivations too much because all of those come up in game, but what I can say is that they’re all motivated by different things that cross over in one way or another!
Also, Alexander is actually Hypatia and Markos’ half-sibling, not full sibling!
Solera Lore: Crowe’s
Crowe’s Supplies is a magic shop in the old historic district of Solera, in what was once an apothecary. It’s been around for as long as some can remember, though the latest shopkeeper is a relatively new addition, only been there a few years.
The inside of Crowe’s is mostly dark wood and glass, and without doubt every time you walk inside, you’ll be greeted by Crowe himself. The giant maine coon lounges on the glass counter, watching everyone who enters with intelligent eyes. Crowe is older than many of the people who visit the shop, though he’s physically still in the prime of youth. Many suspect he’s not actually a cat.
Noa is the current shopkeeper, though they aren’t the owner.

Review: Crowe’s ‘The Uncool’ is actually pretty cool
In the span of about six years, music journalist Cameron Crowe had interviewed many musicians for Rolling Stone magazine and written the book that would eventually become the 1982 classic teen movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. What’s even more fascinating about those six years? This all started when he was just 15-years-old. Crowe would go on to write and direct some memorable and influential…
Nuremberg review – Russell Crowe’s Göring vs Rami Malek’s psychiatrist in swish yet glib courtroom showdown | Toronto film festival 2025
If the Nuremberg trials were political theatre, writer and director James Vanderbilt leans into the spectacle of it. His new movie Nuremberg, about the show put on for the rest of the world to indict Nazi war criminals, is packaged like old-fashioned entertainment. There are movie stars (chiefly Rami Malek and Russell Crowe) with slicked-back hair, trading snappy barbs and self-important…
