I wrote a Countbar one shot
I am tired :D also no beta we die like Count Raven
He doesn't die here I swear-
It had been too long of a day. Too many fights, too many close calls, just...too much. By the end of it, Crowbar was exhausted. Not to mention, their face felt off.
Once Primal had given them the okay to go into recharge, instead of going to their own room, they followed Count Raven to his own room. They tried not to trudge their feet, not to look completely exhausted. Count Raven looked back a couple of times, but said nothing.
He opened the bedroom door, and let Crowbar in. They stood in the middle of the tiny room and felt themselves sway slightly. The Count locked the door behind him and stood behind Crowbar.
"Are you-" The Count started before Crowbar fell backwards, falling against his chest. Count Raven immediately wrapped his arms around Crowbar, holding them up. He leaned closer to their audial, "Let's go to the bed." Crowbar merely sighed as Count Raven moved them both to the bed.
Count Raven settled them on the bed, sitting against the wall as Crowbar laid across his chest. The Count brought his hand to Crowbar's mask, stroking it gently. "Does your face hurt?"
It felt like the scars were still burning, the stitching still fresh. It was years ago, though, they knew that it was all in their memory.
Their thoughts were interrupted by a clicking noise on their mask and Count Raven carefully taking it off. Crowbar turned their face directly to Count Raven's chest.
Count Raven's claw curled and came up to the big scar on their cheek, stroking it affectionately. The burning tingles were soon replaced by the Count's careful strokes. It was so considerate, a far cry from the surgery before, so desperate to keep their face intact.
A rumbling noise came from under them and soon, humming. Crowbar could never place what song Count Raven hummed. Must've been from long ago. It didn't really matter, it was always soothing.
The Count removed an arm to start rubbing along Crowbar's back, lulling them into sleep. Before either of them could fall asleep, Crowbar leaned up and gave a small kiss on his mask.
"Thanks," Crowbar muttered before falling asleep.
This is so tender and sweet… aaaaaaaa why am I giggling over OC BIRDS—
