happy bday to JJ tbh @crossxbones
What a way to spend your fucking birthday.
Not that he really cared about it-- the only thing that mattered was he was an adult now, technically, and that made things far easier from here on out for a many number of reasons. Brown eyes flick to the man in the drivers seat, watching behind dark sunglasses as he bops along to whatever music is playing on the radio. JJ canât hear it. He has his own headphones in, cranked up to the highest volume so as to avoid conversation.Â
He liked road trips as much as the next guy, but the company they had to keep on this job was not the type of company JJ liked. He knew he couldnât say a damn word about it. They were part of Crossbonesâ gang, and JJ had very little say in the goings on of who stayed and who left. It wasnât his place, and he knew his place very well. Keep quiet, keep your eyes down, and youâll get pretty far with the bulky man seated just next to him.
It isnât until he notices the trees around them getting thicker and the sky growing a little darker that he realizes this probably isnât the way they should have been going. He had told Crossbones to stop and ask for directions, but his fragile masculinity denied any sort of help anyone had to offer. The boy waits just a few minutes longer before ripping the earbuds from his ears and turning to stare at the larger male with a furrowed brow. âI thought you said you knew where you were going.â He sits back, almost pouting. âWe shoulda been there by now.â
