I think he was warning me. Seemed urgent, but I was distracted by the light reflecting off his spear.

I heard the sound of wood being sliced and spotted the Error Fanatic. I could hear his claws tapping the ground, eager for carnage. I actually remember what he said;

‘You were prey for my benevolence. But now you’re just prey.’

I felt leaves brushing against my face as I reached out and grabbed the shine from his blade. I held onto the light, but a shadow was already in my hands.

Finally I heard what sounded like the revving of a jungle beast above me. A darkness was cast that collects the shadow out of my hand, absorbing it like water droplets colliding. I’m reminded of the Kestora. As if responding to my thoughts, the revving becomes a voice.

‘No. Something much worse.’ 

Then a bug bit me. In real life. Turned out I was sleepwalking through the Artificial Jungle. Nearly went all the way through it and into the Kestora Labs. Very glad for the wakeup call. And it wasn’t even venomous!”] - - -

Exploring secondary conclusions and working hard are part of my directives, but many units that witness this behavior say ‘wrong’ and ‘evil’. I often hear such sounds.
