This is a good thing, despite what you might think. At least, it can be.

You can't excise a tumor you can't see. You can't cure a cancer you haven't found. The most dangerous wounds are the ones that are secretly festering. We must take this opportunity to separate the merely misguided from the truly terrible, to educate, to guide, and to help people become more correctly informed about the world around them.

Use this opportunity to love. To reach out and show those who are most in danger that we will support them. Don't scream at the awful people. Don't meet hate with hate. If someone around you is being harassed, don't engage the harasser - engage the target and shut them out. Ignore the person being malicious and show the person they're attacking that they are not alone. A better world is not won through hate. It is won by showing people that despite everything, there is hope.
