Does Mari ever learn about Aelga’s past? If so, how does that go down?
So the idea of the story is that Mary does indeed at one point find out about Aelga's past Likely through gaining information from someone from Aelga's past and then going on a deep dive investigation into his "best friend" when things don't start adding up in his head
And despite being a little rash and selfish and all kinds of other things Mary is not stupid.. He will eventually put together the pieces..and when he does he is unable to look at Aelga the same way...
Aelga doesn't even try to deny it when Mary finds out... In their eye it would be better if Mary stopped associating with them anyways, to them it was an inevitably, that their friendship was not meant to last. No matter how much they tried to change their past would always haunt them and it was just a ncie thought to have a connection with someone else

Hi! I just wanted to know some lore about Rhythm! I'm a bit confused of their current relationship with Darkrai. So are they still toxic Yuri and exist at the same time or is Rhythm a reincarnation of Darkrai with no chance of meeting her past form? Or sth completely different by now?
Also may you please give me your favourite scene you imagine her ((optionally) with Darkrai) in?

OH WAOW !! Enjoy seeing so much love for a character i've talked about only briefly here on my tumbly!! Lucky for you I actually think about Rhythm a lot I just don't post much about her!
As for her Lore it's a little wonky considering all the traveling around the timeline Darkrai did! I'll give you a little mega infodump here I suppose :3 hopefully it will be more coherent then insane rambles from when I (and by me i mean my good friend aria pointed out) realized the connections between Darkrai and Rhythm!
Also they both do exist in the same timeline as Pepper and Paprika! (referencing your tags in that other post you reblogged from me!!)

first off before I start I think you would like to know that Darkrai has had some design tweaks
She's a little freakazoid! But this story starts with her and her whole deal.
'The abnormality' Or Abby as I call her is, strange. So in my pokemon universe Mythical essentially reincarnate when they die. They will usually latch onto a compatible soul (have not figured out the criteria for this) This is how there are reports of people 1) randomly suddenly morphing into mythicals and 2) People who are nowhere near related to mythical pokemon suddenly having a mythical baby
The other important information is that she is a dungeon spawn which I somewhat explained here but Dungeon spawn are kinda feared by a lot of people? And so are darkrai in general. so the fact one was reincarnated into a dungeon spawn had people freaking out a little bit.
Abby was sort of sheltered by the Cressalia who took her under her wing after her late partner made her promise to take care of her reincarnation after she passed. Unfortunately Cressalia not only sheltered the dungeon spawn in shame she also held her up to the expectations of her predecessor. Forgetting that it's not garenteed a reincarnation will remember past lives at all let alone be anything like their previous self.
meanwhile Abby gets tired by this and eventually sneaks away where she ends up getting ambushed by some particularly cruel folk who kinda beat the crap out of her. She survives but this leaves her unable to trust others and feeling like she has nowhere to belong.
So like a completely normal and well adjusted person she decides "Oh I'll just plunge the world into darkness then I can finally live peacefully :)"
And we know how that goes for her!
Well in the end when Palkia attacks her in the time/space portal she actually does die and the "uh she's just gonna have amnesia" thing was just because there were teenagers present.
Darkrai dies of her wounds shortly after arriving in the past.
Unfortunately there was a young father passing by, going out for a stroll with his egg in his arms.. and when he found her there was nothing he could do for her, but her soul ended up latching onto the egg he was carrying.
Unfortunately for her, she latched onto an egg that would end up splitting into identical twins, there for essentially splitting her soul in two. So the resulting reincarnation is skewed, and neither of the children ended up hatching as a darkrai. Both hatching as relatively normal duskulls if not for some odd quirks most wrote off by the fact that they had gardevoir heritage from their father. The main contenders being Rhythm's future sight/ability to tell the future (which she did get from her father) and ability to lucid dream, Cadence technically has this ability too but it's much less pronounced because he never used it/actively avoided it
(some doodles of the twins <3 <3) Both of them have weird memories they are haunted with of their past life that they don't quiet understand!

The two had a rather troubled childhood, mirroring Darkrai's own with a..lets called her a "difficult" mother. Though instead of becoming bitter and wishing for the destruction of the timeline the two remain relatively normal and .. not all that
When darkrai is defeated in the "dark future prevented" timeline it ends up triggering the two of them to remember who they used to be! And suddenly the two twins who have always been like insanely close to one another understand it more now since they are literally two halves of a single soul. Rhythm in specific is really troubled to learn this about herself since a lot of her memories are of Abby doing horrible things. So she has a bit of an identity crisis (pictured below a really shitty and kinda confusing timeline sorry lol)
Meanwhile in the "dark future fixed" timeline Darkrai gets real mad that her world of darkness was fixed so she goes back in time and after learning she had done this once before and died she ends up trying to find a different way around things where she finds her reincarnated self and picks up on the fact that Rhythm is kind of a lonely and isolated individual besides her twin and gets to work trying to manipulate her finding her future sight to be rather useful. How successful she is/how effective this is in this depends on how im feeling/the au, but unfortunately Rhythm is VERY EASILY manipulable because if a pretty woman comes up to her and says nice things she will fall fast and do whatever she wants, while it's not natively in her nature to be cruel or violent she could be convinced. (normally rhtyhm does not fight at all not a pacifist jut a girl fail)
as for scenes i see them in?
Well I have this one song I associate with the two of them like crazy, Rhythm once she fully awakens and realizes herself does have a darkrai form (cadence gets one too but this aint about him)
And I associate this song with her struggle not only with her own gender but with figuring out who the "real" her is, and flipping between the two forms , and specifically the lyrics where it's like "I get dressed up in shadows one leg at a time "we're so alike" " Ive always had this mental image in my head of Rhythm sitting in the dark in her dusknoir form and looking in the mirror to see herself as a darkra before it turns to Abby taunting her before it switches to herself again? Along with the last bit of the song "say my name like a slur i've been called worse" Just like Rhythm crashout towards all the people who wrote her off when she goes on her villain arc if the au calls for it
Rhythm does have a playlist in general you can look at :3 :3 while abby has a few songs but I don't have a playlist for those so you'll have to let me know if you want those
I also have another scene in my head of Abby sitting with Rhythm looming over her like some kind of guard dog and her just like sicking her on someone TEEHEE

my favorite butterfly is the monarch butterfly! A very famous pick but, I love them they have a lot of significance to me, growing up I raised them and released them back into the wild. I miss doing it sometimes especially with how they've become more and more endangered (CLICK LINK TO LEARN MORE AND HOW U CAN HELP!!) due to the plant their caterpillars need being considered a weed and often get cleared for urbanization and stuff and their hibernation grounds being destroyed and stuff !

The duskull line have kind of fabric bodies, right?
What kind of fabric do you think your ocs would have? Could be a specific kind, or just a description (ex: smooth, strong, soft, etc.)
I don't know fabrics too well but i can gove a general idea!
Canti - she has i feel like a more rough texture to her, it's not unpleasant but she's probably not someone you wanna sit there and pet, it's mostly from lack of self care tbh
Mallum (senior) - he's soft, unbelievably so, it's a mystery how he kept himself so soft even in the future.
Mal (junior) (the great dusknoir) - I feel like he would be soft like his dad and he hates it because it ruins his persona as an evil tough guy henchmen. though where he's been damaged it's a lot more coarse and rough..he doesn't mind it as much when things calm down.
Rhythm - girl is soft but like, in a smooth way like satin or silk I imagine. Like really high end material I imagine her brother feels the same way.

Something that drives me kinda insane is that like-
THE PARALELLS BETWEEn SE:0 AND SE:5 !! Idk if there are more but the two big ones i noticed is obviously the duskull pushing Treeko out of the way of the rogue starmie mirroring how Dusknoir does so in the future for grovyle with the ice chunk
BUT ALSO- THE SITUATION FO RAMPRADOS SITTING THERE BEATING THE PULP OUT OF DUSKULL AND TREEKO LAYING THERE TOO HURT TO DO ANYTHING!!! IT MATCHES WITH WHEN DUSKNOIR IS GETTING BEAT UP BY DIALGA AND GROVYLE IS TOO WEAK FROM THE SOUL STEALING LIGHTNING TO DO ANYTHING
Do you think Grovyle thinks of that? In that moment? How eerily simular it felt to loosing his friend all those years ago? Especially since this is before Dusknoir tells Vyle who he is? Do you thunk he ever thinks back on that moment after he learns who dusknoir is? Like does jt haunt him a little that the same situation happened twice?
