Images by @jim_abernethy // I admit that not very many people want to get in the water with alligators or crocodiles, for obvious reasons, especially once they submerge and you no longer know where they are! While searching for him under the surface, you realize the water is to murky and unfortunately you've stirred up what limited visibility you had earlier! Then suddenly you find him (2nd image) and despite his mouth being open, your relieved! While in pursuit of high quality images & video with large predators, you must always have a tremendous situational awareness! The best way to help with this is to know your underwater camera system so you can manipulate it without having to look at it! I've had the unique pleasure & experience to be in the water with both alligators & crocodiles and I truly love the experience as well as these magnificent creatures!
