Merlot Wine @ Crispy's

Tonight, I bought the Tokyo Jungle strategy guide at a local Book Off, mainly because it has a developer interview I’ve wanted to read for quite some time. Hopefully I’ll get to scanlate it one of these days because Tokyo Jungle is one of my favorite games from this decade!
But that’s not the point of this post!
The point is the guide also has these random speech bubbles thrown throughout the first half of it and they’re all.
Pretty.
Good.
An extreme distinction is made between carnivores and herbivores in Tokyo Jungle, especially in terms of how they can interact with hostile targets. In a game where every calorie matters, herbivores fighting other animals is effectively wasteful in most cases, as they cannot eat anything that they defeat. Carnivores, however, must fight targets of a certain number or size to keep themselves alive, and thus, a careful balance between the two groups is presented.

Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day coming to North America (on PS3) ⊟
Heyyyy, cool! The weird endless runner thing Namco released as part of Katsuhiro Otomo’s Short Peace is being localized (along with the rest of it!) It’ll be released on PSN this spring.
Like, we don’t cover a lot of PS3 games, but when Suda 51 and Crispy’s (Tokyo Jungle) collaborate on a game that’s considered part of a film by Otomo, I’m going to put that on my website here.
For more info, check this great USGamer interview with Crispy’s(’s?) Yohei Kataoka.
