This meatloaf sandwich recipe combines juicy meatloaf slices with melted cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise, all sandwiched between slices of toasted bread.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup milk. 1/4 cup ketchup. 1 egg. 1 small onion, finely chopped. 1 garlic clove, minced. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 slices sandwich bread. 8 slices cheddar cheese. Butter for spreading. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Mayonnaise.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Put the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix the ingredients together until they are well mixed. Shape the dough into a loaf and put it on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it. After the oven is hot, bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the food is fully cooked. After the meatloaf is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit. While that's going on, toast the sandwich bread. Each piece of bread should have butter on one side. The meatloaf should be cut into thick slices. Put together the sandwiches by putting a slice of cheddar cheese on each of the four pieces of bread that have not been buttered. Put some meatloaf slices, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices on top. Cover the last four slices of bread with mayonnaise and place them on top of the sandwiches, butter side up. Place the pan over medium-low heat and grill the sandwiches for three to four minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the cheese melts. Enjoy while hot!
