“One of my neighpurrs informed me that you favor insects, correct?” He tilts his head and brings a paw to his mouth with his inquiry. Then he reaches into his bag, pulling out a small jar with a cricket inside. “This fellow sat outside my window and sang the whole night long. I barely got any sleep, let alone got any work done! Would you be interested in providing it a better home? Far away from my quiet abode?”
It takes him a moment to react.Flick figured that he might’ve caught some attention while walking around the island, and surely the word that he was looking for the best muse for his next piece must’ve spread, but seeing such a beautiful bug left him speechless to say the least - enough to barely even pay attention to the reasons the cat gave to bring him such a delightful little guy!
Calm down, Flick! Take a deep breath…!
“Of course! It would be my honour and pleasure to take care of this cricket!”
…maybe take a minute more to cough and think. Calm down. Be cool.
“…I can’t possibly accept this gift without giving anything in return. I’m very grateful, of course, but It goes against my nature.
Maybe I can offer some Bells? A cricket as big as this one should be worth at least 700…”
