Jujutsu Kaisen: The Griot's Songbird
Sukuna departs the shrine on business leaving his kataribe and his shadow alone, allowing Asiri the perfect opportunity to try and coax the shikigami out from behind their walls

The first days of spring. The last dregs of snow melting away and the first shoots of new plant life beginning to push their way through the warming sodden earth. The first gatherings of clouds and heavy rainfalls that came with them. This is where Asiri would find Sukuna one evening, sat alone beneath an engawa with his legs crossed and eyes closed, head propped up against a fist as he listened to the hammering of the storm just beyond. He looked peaceful, the usual stern of his neutral expression loose and relaxed. It was a rarer sight that she would never tire of seeing no matter how many times she stumbled across it.
“Enjoying yourself, masoyi?”
The corners of his mouth slowly turned up at the sound of her voice, reaching a hand to cover her own as it slid across his shoulder. “Mm, it’s a pleasant evening I have to say.” He didn’t need to look as he pulled her around and down into his lap, revelling in her giggle as he did so. “Even more so now you’re here, mayoi-hana.”
She took the time to entwine their fingers, his thumb lightly running over hers. “I thought you would’ve been inside where it’s warmer. There’s still quite the chill in the air.”
“Usually yes, but at times like this-” He gestured outwards towards the rain. “-listen carefully. Between the winds.”
