I’m fairly new to writing but I just wanted to ask how long it usually takes to write a chapter? I feel like I write for a whole day and then only have like 3k words down :,( I type hella fast too so I need to know if it’s normal to take ages to write small amounts 🥹✌️

hiii <3 3k is actually really good ma . cuz writing isn’t just typing yk,,, it’s a lot of thinking, editing, staring at the screen, pulling your hair out trying to find synonyms for “said”, and rewording the same sentence 57277272 times… so yes, it’s normal and you’re doing great 🩷

and um… for me it really depends on how much i feel like writing ? like if i’m in a good mood / not exhausted, and actually into it, i can write maybe 2k–4k words in an hour or two (this doesn’t happen often unfortunately). but if i’m drained or forcing myself to write, it’ll take me hours or days just to come up with a decent sentence… like, that’s literally how i feel rn trying to continue wb ch16 😍 ahhahahahHaa end me .
