Drawing Criminal Case characther from memory
Drawing characters from memory is an interesting challenge for me, so I decided to do it with some of my favorite characters and some that catch my attention.
Angela Douglas
Well, this drawing does give me Angela vibes, and I think the colors aren't too far from the original image, although I forgot details like the neckline of the shirt or the chain, plus I didn't add lipstick. I'd give it a 7/10 since it's not the worst.
Lars Douglas
With this drawing, I have a similar issue to the one of Angela; I feel it's recognizable, but I ended up omitting details like the gray hairs or the pattern on the t-shirt. I give it a 6.8/10 because the color I used for the hair is too yellow, and I feel that it doesn't look very good with the skin tone.
Greg Gibbs
Well, I feel there are some similarities with Gibbs, but overall I think I overdid it with the color palette. Plus, I wasn't sure how to paint his skin, so looking at it now it looks very dark, also de hair shape is wrong. I give it a 5.5/10.
Cynthia Lane
On one hand, I could remember details like the silhouette of the hair or the fact that Cynthia wears a pearl necklace, but I didn't remember the plaid pattern on her jacket or that her color palette had so much pink, plus I colored the eyes brown instead of green. I give it a 6.5/10
Virginia Purnell
I feel this drawing does resemble Virginia. It's not perfect since I painted the shirt white, and the saddle and eyes are a different color, but personally I feel they do look alike. I give it an 8/10.
Zoe Kusama
Except for the hairstyle, some shapes in the jacket and the fact that I forgot the white shirt Zoe wears under her yellow shirt, it looks very similar ever if the aren't exactly the same colors. I think it's one of the drawings that looks most alike. I give it a 9/10.
Olive Powell
In this case the drawing looks similar but I missed some details, although I liked the result, I give it an 8.5/10
Hugo Mercier
With this drawing, I started to notice a pattern: whenever I wasn't sure about the eye color, I drew them brown. Although I forgot the stripes on the suit, I think it's a pretty solid drawing. I give it an 8/10.
Tristan Collins
Of all the drawings, I feel that Tristan's is the least like the game's design. On the positive side, I remembered that his shirt was purple, his hair was dark, and he wears glasses. The bad thing is that what I thought was a t-shirt was actually a sweater, and the text is wrong. I forgot the white shirt that sticks out, I didn't include his mole under his chin, and worst of all is the hat, since I painted it gray. I think I did it because Julian Ramis's hat is also gray. I give this one a 3/10.
Delusional AU
Sooo this drawing is inspired by an AU I saw on Instagram a while ago. I don't remember the username, but the AU was about Lars discovering that Angela was the mole before the rest of the team and killing her—if I'm not mistaken, by strangling her—and then killing more team members so no one would discover he killed Angela. So, in my AU, he didn't kill her, but he had delusions that made him believe he did. The reality is that Angela escaped when she realized Lars knew her secret. However, this Lars poisoned Elliot, leaving him between life and death, and gave Marina a severe blow to the head to try to cover up a crime he didn't commit. The delusions develop over time, causing him to see a ghostly version of his wife more and more frequently.
